Today we present you a very special and delicious recipe for roksakia! Roksakia are greek cocoa and cinnamon syrupy dough swirls. If you havent tasted them yet, then plan to do it soon.

🥣 RECIPE:
Ingredients
For the syrup
900 ml of water
1 kg of sugar
1 orange peel
1 cinnamon stick
For the Dough
8 g dry yeast
1 tablespoon sugar
200 ml milk
150 ml corn oil
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
Juice of 1 orange
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Two vanillas
Zest of 1 orange
About 600 g all-purpose flour
A little salt
3 tablespoons cocoa
Method
We start by making the syrup first, putting all the ingredients for the syrup in a saucepan and let the mixture boil for 10 minutes on medium heat.
Then we proceed with the dough. In a bowl, dissolve the yeast and sugar in the warm milk. Then add the oil, eggs and mix.
Then, add the baking powder, orange juice and continue stirring. Flavor with cinnamon, vanilla and orange zest.
Then, add about half the flour, a little salt to our mixture and mix with your hands. Slowly add the rest of the flour until our mixture becomes dough. Finally, cover it with a towel and let it rest for 30 minutes.
When our dough is ready, we divide it into two parts, where one piece is a little bigger than the other. In the smallest piece of dough, incorporate the cocoa and mix.
Then we take the second piece of white dough and open it in an rectangular dough phyllo sheet.
Next, make the dark dough stick, place it on top of the white dough and roll it, as shown in the video.
Cut into rolls a little less than 2 fingers thick and place them in a pan with non-stick paper. Finally, bake at 180 degrees Celsius, until golden brown.
SYRUP: While the roksakia are hot, syrup them with cold syrup and leave them for 6 hours to absorb the syrup.
