OKC Wouldn't do this trade. They would not do Anthony Davis for Jalen Williams straight up. Wouldn't do Anthony Davis for Cason Wallace straight up. Two young talents who have plenty of room to get better for a 31 year old player who may give you 40 or 50 games in a season?

Every fan base always way way way over values their own players. Jalen Williams is a great young player but the Lakers are a worse team next 2 years if they make this trade which means you don't make this trade unless you're punting on LeBron too. I'm sure OKC thinks they're extremely close to a championship so they want to keep it together but it doesn't always work that way. Usually in the NBA if you're staying the same you aren't getting better while others are.

I wouldn't give up AD if I'm lakers, only because then lebron definitely going to lebron and you basically have to hit restart your franchise build. Lakers have depth but no good every night starters who are 2way players right now. Vanderbilt is phenomenal can play and guard 1-4, but he isn't a scorer, rui can't play both ways, d-lo can't play defense, and lebron will get pissed and leave and we'll be stuck with a rookie coach for a rebuild. No thanks ar15 is offensive lifted, but defense liability and we'll now have no paint protection. Christian wood ain't starter worthy, and lakers already have a ton of guard options. Plus lakers traded 3 big pieces plus 4 1sts, is top 5 defense player, top 10 nba best in league, and arguably the best two way superstar when he's healthy. If I'm thunder I say yes, if I'm lakers I want more. And I'd want more money to match salary since new cba agreement and they past 1st apron almost at 2nd apron and would be able to sign paul George to max contract anyway still. Honestly I'm keeping my team as is convincing d-lo to sign and trade him, rui and Vincent plus all my 1sts for giannis, embiid, or durant. Yes durant is a shell of himself and don't play defense, but that's the beauty he'd be our 3rd star to lebron and AD, like he was in warriors nations as he was 3rd option to curry and thompson. Can imagine the front court with one of those 3 combinations?😊😊
