I might add I made this burger gluten free, by using GF bread crumbs, and gluten free hoisin sauce by Ayam, who make many Asian GF sauces, so celiacs don’t have to miss out on this amazing recipe. Thanks again Rik, cheers from Australia 🇦🇺

What a fantastic idea, a delicious succulent hoisin flavoured pork burger & a fantastic colourful Asian coleslaw on the side!😋 I have a few packs of pork mince in my freezer, bought just before Xmas, with the intention of making sausage rolls, I never got around to using it all up; so it’s now destined for greater things!😊 Look forward to making these, I have a question though, if the pork’s already been frozen, is it safe to make up the burger patties & re freeze. Living alone, much as I love burgers 🍔, it’s a bit much for even me to consume six in a few days!😁 Also thanks 🙏 for showing off that fantastic wee gadget for creating julienne carrot strips, just gone onto Amazon & ordered one, what a clever & time saving implement!👍 Thank you as always Rik, you never cease to amaze me with the ever changing recipes each day, & your enthusiasm for cooking is truly infectious! Hope you & your wife thoroughly enjoyed your burgers, how tempted were you to whack some cheese on your’s 😉😆! xx 👨‍🍳👌👍🍔😍

Going to have to make this recipe Rik. In my eyes you have the best Cooking Videos on KZbin. You aren’t teaching Chefs on here, you are teaching ordinary people with mediocre cooking skills how to cook like Chefs. Your clear and concise instructions with products and amounts required is fantastic. One little last thing. Did I see an egg in your Burger Mix when you started mixing with your glove on?

Funny how from country to country things are so different,in all my years in the States I have never seen a pork burger, beef, chicken,turkey,bison,even Elk,but never pork. Most supermarkets in my area don’t even have ground pork,ground ready spiced sausage meat they have that. One day I was shopping in a restaurant supply store,buying among other things those Swiss made peelers,and I bought several as I was getting things for other employees,when I got home I realized I got one of the julienned peelers by mistake,and you know what Rik,till I saw you using one I had forgot I had it,it’s in my tool box,so now I can forget julienning carrots by hand. I like the look of the Asian slaw I will definitely make that,I like slaws a lot.😊

Another one to do on my list. Just ordered hoisin sauce from Lazada, Passed on your site for Yorkshire puds to a few Brits and Assies in Thailand with good results. My apple cider vinegar is coming on. One to look at quite simple Lecsó (Hungarian Pepper Stew) with crusty bread.

mmmmmmm....... I tried something weird the other week. While thinking of you (the man who adds cheese to a lot of his dishes - lol), I was about to warm up a couple of small apple pies (care of Mr Kipling) in the oven and decided to cut one in half and insert a wedge of cheddar in each half. I tasted really nice.

I love the Asian slaw! I love the burgers, but one person in my house doesn't eat pork, so I'll try them with chicken or turkey. I'll probably have to substitute a panade for breadcrumbs so it's not dry.
