The remix album CD (bought it in 2002 ha) and checked the publishing, and Yup Ashanti Douglas is credited for background vocals, and writing credits, so She definitely has been credited for her vocals and writing from the start, i think people just like to use it against JLo to hate on her (not you, you barely mentioned it and didn't focus on it like others do). So many artists work with other artists who write and produce and whos vocals get left on for flavor, to me its just a collaborative effort, to me it makes sense that Ashanti been a singer who wrote and referenced this song would have her vocals on there, she was excited she got to work with JLo!
