I used to have the same problem with really oily skin, and i tried a million different liquid foundations and then switched to powder foundation. I dont know if you have ever tried it, but bare minerals is AMAZING. it has great coverage and it definitely doesn't make your face as oily as liquid does. Just a suggestion! Love your videos!

Personally, I found this to be very insightful and helpful. I too have oily/reddish so I hope this works out well for me. I like the way you communicated; fast, clear, and easy to understand. I don't know if you have already tried this foundation but . . . Clinique liquid foundations work REALLY well . It adds moisture where it's needed and it absorbs oil where oil control is needed . I've been using it since September of 2011 and I still love it . You should try it :)

I have semi oily skin and i recommend Rimmel London clean finish foundation in slightly darker than your skin, then a white powder, i use baby powder because it has a light fresh scent, and it makes my skin so soft and looks totally natural on my skin! I love this brand, never changing my foundation, i found the perfect look for me plus it nourishes with vitamins A and E and i have a clean poreless look!

OMGosh all MUFE foundations are beast! I have three of them & each one is beautiful & they all last all day long. I'm fortunate to have an actual MUFE boutique where I live. They have so many products that Sephora doesn't carry & more color options in the foundations too.

Blair, you should try the Covergirl Powder! It's amazing! It's for people who have oily skin and you put the powder over your foundation an it takes off all your oils and leaves your skin looking really good! Of you use too much, it will make your face look chalky so just use enough to cover your face :) it's in a green round cover and it says "covergirl" on it! They sell it at wal*mart in the cosmetic section :) goodluck! (it's only like $6 and last for months and months and months)

I have horribly oily skin and I have found that Elizabeth Arden's Intervene foundation worked SO well for me. It had great coverage and it was matte so it wouldn't slip and slide throughout the day. So worth the money! lol

My favorite foundation is the Estee Lauder Double Wear, it is absolutely amazing. I use it whenever I'm going out but when I stay home or I'm not really doing anything I use the Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse, the finish is really nice & it gives you an airbrushed look but it does tend to get a little bit oily looking by the end of the day which I fix by putting on some of my Estee Lauder pressed powder but it's the best drug store foundation I've tried so far.

I've got super oily skin and a foundation that I love is Rimmel's Lasting Finish foundation :) It is so good and it stays on all day ! I never have to touch up my makeup, I 'd only put on a little powder in the afternoon to keep my face matte! :)

I'm not sure how to say this without sounding slightly offensive. But it makes me feel better knowing that your skin has gone from being bad, to really clear and now it's not perfect again because that's what my skin has done. I HAVE A FOUNDATION THAT IS DRUGSTORE!!!!! I am glad you asked because "Neutragena SkinClearing oil-free makeup" is AMAZING!!! It has Salicylic Acid in it, i have used it for over 7 months, and when you take your makeup off, it leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth.

I really like the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation, I think you would find it really great for oily skin. You don't even need to set it with powder. It's a full coverage foundation, I believe it's around $35 or $36... I use a Sigma F80 to apply. I haven't tried the MUA HD yet but a lot of people have been loving it so I will probably pick it up if I can find it.

I have tested out a foundation from Estee Launder yesterday and I really like it and the foundation is invisible ECRN and my skin tone is 1CNl you dont I believe and honestly i love it because it doesnt cake on my face and that you dont get that oily effect after wearing it. So i highly recommend you trying it.

My all time favorite liquid foundation is La Mer. It's kind of on the more expensive side but I love the coverage and it is long lasting even without primer and I usually set it with bare minerals!

I have combination dry/oily skin but I don't use a foundation right now, I use a loose powder that I like a lot! It's Covergirl TruBlend Minerals Loose Mineral Powder and I usually get it at Target. I use 415 but its a little dark for me and I have a slight natural tan but when It gets close to the summer and I start going outside and tanning and stuff it works and matches perfectly. It's light and it has medium coverage, it also has a little bit of a shimmer to it but its not that noticeable!

I have oily/acne prone skin too, I haven't tried the HD but I will now thanks for that. I use the Inglot YSM Cream Foundation and this doesn't break me out at all. One occasion when I want full full coverage I use Revlon's Colour Stay, but when I wear this everyday for say a week, I will break out - even with the one for Oil skin. But it is good if you need it for something special.

I have acne prone skin as well. All the makeup like Mac and such made me breakout. I switched to BareMinerals and no more breakouts! It also has great coverage. Do a tutorial on that to spread natural looking skin :)

hey blair i just wanted to give you a quick tip.... i am a makeup artist and i thought you should know that if you have oily skin you shouldn't apply your primer or any products to your face using your fingers cause it adds the oils from your fingers to your face..try using a synthetic brush instead..

if you want the best coverage, I suggest you use a dense, flat topped brush, because these brushes help cover up pores when you use them to buff foundation in to your skin. :)

My at the moment favorite drugstore foundation is Neutrogena Microclear. Almost every other drugstore liquid foundation breaks me out like no other! But this one i haven't broken out to at all :). I highly recommend it!!

I've been loving the TruMatch foundation (not positive but I hunk its by Loreal). It's so blendable and I bought a shade off in the beginning but was still able to use it because it magically blends and matches your skin somehow. Lol. I'm super acne prone and oily and I haven't broken out. It's not heavy but gives great coverage. I also use it as a concealer believe it or not if anything does happen to show thru.

I use bareMinerals. I have oily skin and when you use the foundation along with the Mineral Veil, it really does keep the shine away. I don't really like liquid foundations and never have, so bareMinerals is great for me :)

Bare minerals is really good. If you forget to take off ur makeup a night it leaves NOTHING behind. Also, my drugstore foundation is revolution photo ready. I have the same skin as you and this works great with my skin.

you should try givenchy's foundation it's great for oily skin, it gives a glow without even using a highliter. also theres a mineral makeup brand called 'madly yours' it has a nice foundation which blends beautifully with your skin because its mineral!! they have lipstick also, and it never wares off!!! even if you eat or drink or accidentally licked your lips ! i have a problem, i have oily skin, so i have breakouts often in my skin, do you have any suggestion how i should cover them up ?

Another really awesome foundation brush you could try is the Sephora Pro Airbrush #55...I LOVE it and don't have the problem of losing bristles :) The finish it gives you is flawless.

You should try the Tart Amazonian Clay Foundation. It gives a nice matte finish and it is good for oily skin. It's $38, but i know you are okay with spending more money on face products. I hope you take it in to consideration.

Hi I have very oily acne prone skin aswell and I have just started wearing makeup lately, at the moment my favorite foundation is from a pharmicist, it is called australis mineral purity powder foundation in the colour of natural tan. Ilove it so much I can wear it all day no problem. I am not sure if you would be able to purchase it out side of Australia though, but I just thought I would let you know which foundation is my fav!! Have you tried using a foundation with less coverage? I've heard the makeup advice from people that sometimes you get so used to seeing yourself with more eye makeup on and so it's fun to take a break and just wear light mascara to week and see what you think about it. Just thought it'd be something fun for you to try to mix it up a little :)

I have been wanting to try the HD MUFE fdn but I just picked up the Mat Velvet + one, using it for about a month and LOVE it. I use it with the MUFE powder fdn too. I like the thicker consistency of it and it blends in amazingly with my skintone! :)

Try the revlon color stay whipped foundation. I never really liked the regular liquid one but I love the whipped one. I have extremely oily and acne prone skin. It has great coverage and i apply it at 6:30 in the morning and my face looks the same it did that morning when I take it off at 10 that night. Not oily at all.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one that has a problem with the MAC 109 Brush shedding so badly. I use it for my foundation and I have to spend an extra 2 minutes picking the bristles off my face before I continue with my makeup! Any suggestions on a better powder/foundation brush?

You should try PurMinerals primer. It is soooo amazing. I have super oily skin and with it I never have to fix my makeup. With any foundation also, I've had to use a backup foundation that was awful, and it made it look like a good brand. It's a little on the pricey side, but eBay sales the tiny bottles (which last me 3 months) for $10.

117 has very yellow undertones. 125 has a neutral beige undertone. MUFE HD foundation shades don't run in order. They each vary by undertones.

I use the Vichy Normateint for oily skin, it's really good. But before I apply the foundation I clean my face with Givenchy tone it true matifying lotion and apply Givenchy Hydra Sparkling moisturizer.. it isn't that cheap but it really pay's off!
