Yeah I also think bringing in Iriafen wasn't the best idea, since she will be leaving at the end of the year. Then they could have used this year to grow and prepare for more success together over the next couple of years.

@@harleydude-xo8pu I agree bro, we really might need to trade up to get Citron because she's a huge threat at #3 to Chicago and the two Washington picks as well before us. Sky's GM been talking about getting a wing, or a bigger sized guard and Citron fits that mold for them. That's why we need to use Mitchell or Smith to trade one of them to Chicago. Sky needs to replace Chennedy Carter, who's not coming back with Mitchell, we might be able to make a sign and trade play there to get that 3rd pick. If we can't do that then we gotta pray she slides down or start making plans to grab Lucy Olsen. The biggest issue these players are going to face and people are not realizing it, is travel. USC is now part of the Big 10 and they have to travel all the way to Maryland, Ohio, Indiana etc instead of to Arizona, Washington, Oregon which are like a 2 hour flight vs 8 to 10 hour flights to the East coast and different time zones. That will take a huge toll on these players the longer the season goes. For example they play in Maryland and their game is at 11 am, it is 8 am in LA and the players have to get up by what 5 am LA time to get ready to play, these players are still sleeping at 5 am, 6 am, 7 am, 8 am back home.

Citron had help with JuJu. Notre Dames coach made sure JuJu was double teamed where she likes to get the ball. Gotlieb got out coached because she didn't adjust to the half court defense of Notre Dame. JuJu should have had the ball in her hands at the top of the key, not the wing. They were sending a double team at her on the wing, forcing her to make bad shot attempts. If you move her on the ball, she is tall enough to see over the notre dames guards. This guy is a hater. Notre Dame was well prepared. Caitlin Clarke was fantastic, but Clarke's coach was much better at adjusting than Gotlieb. There is something called the pick and roll. You have to solid big players. Good coaches find a way to get their best players off when they are struggling. Old school offensive plays still work. If it's not working, you don't continue running the same play over and over in the half court offense. Teams are waiting for JuJu to drive from the wing. USC needs more than one offensive set. Put JuJu in open space at the key and run pick and rolls from the top of the key. She is expected to score, but she is not going to be efficient with double teams coming at her on the wing. Last year she had Lindsey and Paddia putting pressure on opposing teams, and they went to her in the flow. I think with Kennedy playing and Gotlieb adjusting to the defensive scheme of Notre Dame, the outcome would have been different. Marshall, in my opinion, was the only USC player that showed up to play, JuJu included.

Juju is a very good player but most of what makes her special is her size and how well she takes advantage of it. She is not a great shooter, she is an average ball handler but exceptional at drawing fouls and taking the ball to the hole.

Notre Dame's defense is beyond ELITE! They are the best team in college basketball by a mile!! As long as JuJu is not playing the Irish she will be fine. The Irish is a rooster filled with first round WNBA picks, they have at least 5 top 10 picks and 3 of those girls will either be #1 or #2 picks the 2 best players in the country are Hannah Hidalgo and Oliva Miles! The Irish might go undefeated this year! The Irish were up 21 points with less than 2 minutes to go, had 4 WNBA players out with injuries, and were getting HOSED by the refs every other possession, they fing GREAT! 💚🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀Hidalgo is THE SHOW

@@wakawaka1976she was tops in steals and blocks as a rookie and funny enough had the best defensive score in the starting lineup (or one of). She is actually very smart on both sides but she can’t be generating the most points on her team and league and doing all the defensive stuff. That’s why people have their jobs to do. How would she pace herself like that. No one is asking jrue holiday to score and pass all game and no one is asking curry to defend the best players on the other team all game either.

@GoodGame3913 күн бұрын
@@wakawaka1976 yes I know ball and very well. What rookie has better defence than Clark and why? Now tell me how that rookie did in assists and points? You Clark haters are something else. She needs to defend like jrue, shoot like curry and pass like magic for her to be considered good to you. Name 1 nba player that has everything? Even Lebron and joker and curry aren’t great defenders like that but for some crazy reason Clark is supposed to not ONLY generate the most points in the entire league at 36-40 points every game on average she is now supposed to be Carrington on defence too. She is the ONLY wnba player ever to be the assist leader and in the top 10 Ppg. Why is the standard for her so high but no one even holds nba players to these ridiculous standards. She was still disruptive enough on defence to have the steals and blocks she did as a rookie. More blocks than Reese btw

The old double standards. One person could have a bad game, and it's chopped up as she was tired. She just had a bad day. Her teammates weren't helping her. Then, for the others, it's she got exposed. She just isn't that good. That's why I can't support bias commentary.

Stop comparing people to Caitlin Clark. No one in WCBB is even close. Juju seems to have regressed since last year. Maybe the fame came before the game. ND exploited her weaknesses and other teams will follow. 90% of Juju's scoring is driving to the basket and free throws. Let her shoot 3's. Whenever she dribbles go for the steal. Does not have good handles. ND had Juju on the ground taking the ball away from her. Juju needs to work on 3's, passing and dribbling. She is below average on all 3.

JuJu has a tough road to hoe. She is very talented, but when she has the ball the game slows down. The difference is that CC moves the offense, she makes people run and cut and be ready. When JuJu plays her teammates just watch her, she is great at dribbling between her legs, and she is very aware, but if she gets guarded like CC did entering the league, I am not sure how well she will do with athletic "grown women" as DT likes to say🤷🏻♂
@bryanthomas85832 сағат бұрын
Is ridiculous to keep comparing CC to anyone, CC had an entire program built around her, no other McDonald’s all Americans. No top program will build a program around one player, cause they don’t have to, they get top players year after year, nobody at UConn or SC are going to average 30 plus, they can’t get minutes. CC entire career was an anomaly, will never happen again. Once again zero rings, winning championships is why people play the game everything else is just stat stuffing!

They were collapsing the defense on to JuJu and she had trouble handling it. She will be fine. She needs to learn when to dish the ball. But her teammates have to play better. Did you watch the post game media q&a with USC? Her forearms are Huge! She is built completely different from Paige and Caitlin and she’s just 19! I agree, give her a chance. It’s only November. The idea is to be playing your best basketball as a team in March. We have a long way to go.

Mick's videos are unfocused and prone to rambling and repetition. They could use more preparation. JuJu is spectacular but can't shoot. Huh? JuJu is more athletic than Caitlin? Maybe but JuJu looks slow on breaks and OK, she's blocking shots, but she gets her shot blocked too and too many times finds herself tied up in a clogged lane. If she's more athletic, shouldn't she be rising above defenders at her height? She's looked less than spectacular against UConn and Notre Dame. I saw the latter half of her 51-point game against Stanford. A lot of those points came at the free-throw line.

Why is KiKi getting a pass?
@tyfunk66433 күн бұрын
In order for usc to contend for a national title they need juju to be more of a facilitator and rely on kiki more. I know kiki had a bad game but as of right now kiki is the more reliable player with more experience. They need juju to be a playmaker especially against rank opponents because they will guard her the same way citron did and as of right now juju is not good enough or experienced enough to handle that pressure of defense while also carrying the team. It took Caitlin till her junior tear to be able to handle that level of defense and also be efficient while doing so. It is harder for juju cause the defender does not have to worry about the pass like they would Caitlin so they can just fully focus on shutting her down. The people who complain about Caitlins efficiency are just haters because it's not based in truth. Caitlin was vary efficient in college for a guard and had a 58% true shooting percentage which was the 7th highest in the wnba and 2nd among guards. Juju efficiency wise is vary worrying because she will most likely be a sf in the wnba so a ts% in the 40's is vary bad for a sf. It is normal for the best guards in the w to shoot in the low 40's fg wise but that % for a sf is terrible.
