Geto was too caring and kind that he couldnt move on like Gojo did. What hurt me most is that even when Geto was depressed, he still ask Haibara to bring some souvenir for Gojo, Geto was also the one that told Nanami to rest and covered Haibara's body. He was there for everyone but when he is at his most vulnerable state, no one was there for him. Geto just want the sorcerers to stop suffering and dying, and he couldnt bring himself to protect the root of all the problems. If you review the ed and op visuals and lyrics the whole thing is more tragic

12:37 Do you remember this "Sonoda-san" guy? This is the person who asked Toji to kill Riko that appeared in the last episode.

Also i don’t know if you noticed but during the shower scene and the scene with Yuki you can hear the water/ raindrops change to a clapping sound. This was portrayed way better in the anime then in the manga, which showed how he suffered from severe ptsd thinking about that moment on a daily basis. Great addition from Mappa.

Yes I noticed! I thought it was amazing sound design D: a cool, but subtle way to let us know what's hunting him

I like how it actually took quite a while with the culmination of many little things that eventually put Geto over the edge. It was more realistic and tragic. I really enjoyed this flashback arc as a story, but it was tragic as hell. What’s amazing is how the Shibuya Incident arc, which follows this, is even more incredible. Oh my god… is all I can say for the moment.

We're currently watching the beginning of the incident xD Gojo just arrived! We keep freaking out about what's gonna happen o.o

It's subtle but you can actually see Gojo's under eye was red when he was waking up from his dream.

I love the deep look into Geto's thoughts that drove him insane. If you didn't catch it, the person Geto called to stage at the Star Relgion group was the guy that we saw in the previous episode that was wrapping Riko up when Toji brought her in. Now get ready for the crazy shibuya arc.

Ooh I hadn't noticed D: it was brutal, but in his case, I guess, justice served! It's sad to see Geto lose himself like that though

Thank you x3 I'm glad you think so! Honestly, this was such a tragic, yet amazing arc (despite the fact it was so short) it deserved to be discussed in depth n.n those characters just have so many layers D:

Geto's descent to madness is one of my favourite antagonist origins in shonen, he's such a fascinating character and you feel everything for him even if you don't agree with him. He's the best written character in the series in my opinion.

This hurts me. I really liked Geto and i miss their friendship. 💔 Next, Shibuya arc. It’s great, you will love it 🤯

The silence after Geto first mentions monkeys to me shows that for Geto the only way he could have peace was if he dehumanized people in his mind. Like he said in the movie "there was just no way I could hold a heartfelt smile in this world".
