​​@@XernesLucidno. Half ghouls are a cross breed between humans and ghouls (assuming they're not artificially made like Kaneki). There are 2 variations of half ghouls. Variation 1: characters like Kaneki and Eto. Half ghoul characters like Kaneki and Eto have a kagune and are for all intents and purposes ghouls. The reason why half ghouls are much stronger (it's been a hot minute so i can't remember if this was explicitly stated in the anime or manga) is because the human cells are essentially absorbed/consumed by the ghoul cells (i believe this was mentioned by Kuzen when he was telling kaneki about half ghouls and what his wife did to give birth to kuzens daughter). The consumed cells are regenerated and replaced by ghoul/rc cells. And it is explicitly stated (in Tokyo Ghoul RE) that regenerating makes a ghoul stronger. Variation 2: characters like Arima. Arima doesn't have a kagune and is essentially just a human. This variation has greatly increased physical abilities in exchange for an accelerated aging process. Hence Arimas white hair and the glaucoma in one of his eyes (which is what the title "one eyed king" is referencing).

You are only half right about this.... Half Ghouls like Kaneki and the twins from s2 and Re are essentially Ghouls who were once Human and got changed. So your point with them being a Ghoul is valid BUT then we have Eto who is also a Halfghoul but a natural version i.e.: The child of a Ghoul and a Human. And she is able to eat normal Food (maybe she could even survive on it)

@@garrettbaird5036 MAJOR SPOILERS!!!! everything you said here is basically the anime leaving out a massive chunk of context that was in the manga because for example, he didn’t really join aogiri after he killed Jason. He was still with Anteiku fighting aogiri and looking for doctor kanou the same guy that turned him into a half ghoul and upon finding him, got his shit kicked in by shachi that then revealed that the owner of anteiku is the one that founded aogiri, to which he spiraled calling himself weak and used proceeding to fight shinohara with the half kakuja form beating him and leaving him badly injured which showed the reason why Kaneki got stronger ( he cannibalized ghouls same way Jason did) so a lot was left out in the anime which is why after season 1 everyone would say go read the manga to understand literally everything that happens from season 2 onward.

I like the anime, but I've officially finished the first half and am on (re) now of the manga and bro the amount of cut content that dulls development and almost kills the atmosphere of certain scenes is egregious give the manga a read trust you won't be disappointed, also like you said you wish amon and kaneki interacted more there's alot of amon questioning his ideals and view of the world through his first interaction with kaneki or as he calls him "eyepatch", even when amon let him go during the ccg raid when he was morphing into a kakuja, or the final scene strictly being a kaneki vs arima 1v1 rather than other ccg being present which breaks the continuity and is a literal plothole, theres just so much they changed or cut jesus but W vid

The centipede Kakuja is a representation of his corrupt ambition, since after he fully accepted his new self and new identity, and what kind of role he needs to play, he still has that want for strength and the goal of wanting to protect those he cares about both ghouls and humans. So from what he able to figure out, one way of getting stronger was to eat other ghouls and use their rc cells to enhance his already powerful abilities. The inner dialog and his loss of self is something that is like he’s so blinded by his ambitions it literally hurts him and makes him into a sense of self that would be seen as madness.(also read the manga for most of it since the anime adaptation didn’t give it much justice it deserved but still a good anime 🎉🎉🎉)
