Cap about the black flash, it was established from the start that black flashes are massive growth boosts each time they're performed. Yuji awakening the shrine (which was also established from the start) with black flash chained back to back is the least of this manga's issues. My head canon is JJK’s ending is just a hallucination. Yuji yapped to Sukuna too long, he regained domain expansion and killed Yuji and went on to kill everyone, Nobara is still 6ft deep and Megumi is still in Sukuna being a bum.

@@debo5734 gojo's last request was to be forgotten he told yuji, and yuji possibly told the others off-screen yuji just finished saving megumi by telling him he can't tell him how to live, so i'd presume yuji would respect his decision plus there was a subplot about gojo only being seen as a weapon/necessary monster that very few actually cared about, and those that care about him should respect his wishes giving him a funeral/tombstone would be against it if anything having no confirmation about his body's whereabouts is odd, but we already had a send off for him when he was killed in battle like he hoped for. so it'd just be fanservice to give him another send off.

I am an English teacher and a lover of anime/manga. Over the years, it has become clear to me across all media that most people cannot delineate between subpar and great writing. From a narrative standpoint, Gege' commits multiple storytelling sins. Abusing flashbacks to provide exposition and details to create context is LAZY writing 101. Next, Gege wastes characters. Yuki was wasted. Nobara wasted. Maki wasted. Megumi's journey and growth was an utter waste. He was around for a couple chapters, just to become a sock puppet for Sukuna for the majority of the series, because Gege loves the king of curses. Then, Megumi brushing off Sukuna's violation, Nobara popping up after having her brain splattered, Yuji trying to have a heart to heart with Sukuna after he traumatized him in Shibuya. This shows Gege refuses to develop relationships between specific characters. I also noticed the lack of downtime these characters have in between arcs to allow the characters to PROCESS, TALK ABOUT, or ANALYZE the trauma, loss, and pain they are going through. I hate to compare anime/manga but there is a world of difference between Hunter Hunter, SPY Family and hell even MHA gets it right a couple of times. Finally, Gege doesn't understand a storytelling principle that it is our relationships that define us, shape us, and therein our actions have a ripple effect to everyone connected to us. When Gon fought Pitou, and Killua called his name, my heart dropped. When Yusuke made the sacrifice against Sensui, and his friends went all out...I felt that SHIT! But this I just feel irritated.

im so sick of this shit. Look, theres no problem with liking media with flaws or not a complete story. (I like madness combat and cultivation manhua) But at one point you just gotta call it how it is. Unfortunately alot of manga, anime, movies and games have just had atrocious writing. And the fact that theres people who hype this up as the second coming just pisses me off even more. JJK is a 3/10 for me. Good art and a nice looking anime. Everything else regarding characters or worldbuilding is so trash. And I feel bad for Gege more than anything because this is going to be his legacy as a writer. He made a manga that was the equivalent to jingling keys to distract from how unskilled he is.

From the start, before Jujutsu Kaisen was as big as it is today, I thought the Shibuya arc was amazing, even in the manga. But after it, the next arc is kinda of mid. Still, knowing MAPPA, they’ll probably save it with their adaptation. I know it’s rare for people to like Yuji, but I’ve always liked him. That said, in the later arcs, his character does get a lot more complicated.
