And so it goes hoarding picking them up for pennies on the dollar--driving prices insane while making tons of bucks. Good job!!!

Hello. What I failed to see was a 1958 U.M.C. model UPA-100 jukebox. I currently have one of these in working condition, but without the coin box or mechanism. Would you be interested in purchasing it and what ball-park value range would this be in ?

I'm surprised I didn't see the AY160 in that collection which is the one I just restored for a client... maybe I'm just missing it in a back corner or something. xD

I just picked up an ay160 at an estate sale..question..how far would you say a novice could get to restore this machine?

Any idea how these old juke boxes remember the quo of songs that people had paid for? They didn't use CPUs. The memory had to be analog. Any thoughts?

The Wurlitzer's, AMi, and Rockolas of day were purely mechanical. Each had a variation of a pin that popped up when a selection was made and the order of play was determined by where the selector arm was currently. So...if you waited a long time to hear your song....it's because someone kept selecting songs between what was playing....and where your song was located in the title strip list. Seeburg's were mechanincal up to about the late 50's...then had a very innovative TORMAT selection unit that 'flipped' a torrid to make selections. All electrical....but still played songs in the order in which the mech was moving.....for the most part.

My husband has Wurlitzer 1650 that is in poor condition and we are thinking about getting it restored. We live in Mississauga and would be interested in a quote for a restoration. Thanks

madeinengland73 Good Morning. My name is Patrick and I live in the Memphis Tennessee area. I have always loved you boxes and been fascinated by them but know nothing about how they work with the mechanics of them. I am 54 years old and I am finally at a place in line Fred like to buy one that needs some work, a project, and have it in my home. Indianapolis you can give me about locating a jukebox is greatly appreciated. Are there any websites of this is us I can contact to try to find a older jukebox the need to work or restoration? My email address is prcccjordan@att.net. Thank you very much for your time. I hope to hear from you.
