It's funny how accurately this song covers schizophrenia. Organs feeling disfigured/joined/misplaced, voices, mood and identity issues, poor judgement/decision making, rejection from society and family, paranoid delusions, persecutory delusions, trouble explaining to family/friends, difficulty understanding the world, feeling confused/frightened/depressed, having thoughts you believe are not your own... it's strange how accurate it is.

I was diagnosed bipolar and I had a psychotic episode that felt like this song. Didn't believe anyone, thought they were poisoning me, didn't believe myself either. Thought I was fake. This song covers those feelings great as well. ^.^ stay healthy

Holy. Shit. This is the third song in a row I've listened to by these guys, and every single one of them has been amazing. How the hell had I never heard of them before?!
@katm66 жыл бұрын
I know how you're feeling!! I discovered them last year thanks to listening to a lot of Andrew McMahon on KZbin. These guys popped as they're also considered "piano rock." Anyway, I'm now obsessed and actually got to see them live a few months ago. They put on a great show and are super nice guys. Definitely see them if you can.
@Hakajin6 жыл бұрын
I believe it! Since I posted that, I've listened to three of their albums (only 3 since I like to become familiar with an album before I try something new), and all of them are great! They're performing in October near me, but I don't know if I can find anyone to go with me... I mean, I would just say screw it and go alone, but I don't have a car. Boo.

lyrics: Yes I can, no I can't Yes I can, no I can't Yes I can, no I can't Yes I can, I swear to it That's just how my brain works Yes it is, no it isn't Yes it is, no it isn't Yes it is, no it isn't Yes it is, I know that I know it sounds absurd but We first met in the summer Of my twenty-second year I got scared and they appeared Out of thin air Here they come, here they come Here they come, here they come Here they come, here they come They're after me, I don't know anything They got guns, they got knives They got guns, they got knives They got guns, they got knives and-and-and-and-and Spies I am no informant We first met in the summer Of my twenty-second year I got scared and they appeared Out of thin air They knew my name They screamed and screamed They knew everything Well, you could say that I'm well liked But I'll never be friendless, oh Oh, you could say that I'm alright Or you could say schizophrenic, but ohhh

Someone said below in the comments that some people just have different tastes in music. That is not exactly true. These guys especially this song would get mad radio play imo, like someone said a little bit like Walk the Moon. Who 2 or 3 years after I saw them at SXSW just now are getting radio play. I saw Fitz and The Tantrums play at SXSW last year and he said they played to a pretty small crowd, but there was a good buzz about them and an agent from their now current label was there and signed them on the spot. Sadly and at the same time thankfully there is just a lot of music that goes unnoticed and sometimes open minded listeners get to hear it. I currently like the Bleachers. I watched Charlie XCX play in front of maybe 50 people and 1/2 of the people were there just fro the free drinks. 2 or 3 years ago at SXSW
@squidy23436 жыл бұрын
Bleachers are wonderful. If you like them, then you may like Jack Antonoff's older band Steel Train. He's such a great musician. His songs manage to feel old and new at the same time and I love it :)

This is the combination of Queen and the Beatles. If they don’t get famous, it’s ok. This days people just make the same songs with the same sexual lyrics to get so fame. Like The Popular Thing says: ‘’And if you wanna do the popular thing, we’ll follow the way, but if you want to find something unique, well, you can’t look that way’’

I know what Schizophrenia is, the 10 year old kid that I used to babysit doesn't. He posted that comment when I (stupidly) let him play on my computer. I didn't know about it until all these people started replying. I'm incredibly sorry that I seemed to be the conveyor of ignorance (and sadness, apparently) on this song's video.
