You can do it with one needle. It’s a stretch straight stitch called a single chain stitch. Is great to use when you are sewing stretch fabrics to prevent the seam from breaking. you can use it as a single straight stitch.

I do not stock Pegasus, but I do remember them being a very nice brand. The parts for the Juki are more readily available.

Hi. Do you have any tips or suggestions on how to safely remove the fabric and cutting the thread to continue working? I have one of these and I found very challenging finishing a stitch and then continue on other. Thank you!

Usually you have threaded the machine wrong. Threading the needle backwards will cause that.
