Julbo Razor Edge Goggle - Category 0-4 for all conditions possible

I have the Cyrius from last season with a 1-3 lens, great piece of equipment! I was looking for a 0-4 lens so my question is go for just a lens replacement for the Cyrius or get the new Razor Edge? From your review I assume they don't have some much of a difference right?

Hey! Great question. I really do not see much of a difference and I love the Cyrius (as do a lot of the Engearment teammates).

Appreciate showing the fit with the summit, did you downsize for the helmet or use medium too? I heard they run big.

You got it buddy! I went with a medium on the Summit. Seems to fit well. Especially with the unique BOA system they developed.

Is the relief clearly visible in comparison with Oakley Prizm?

Thanks for the helpful review. I’m looking at Julbo but debating lenses. I see you also reviewed a Cyrius Cat 1 - 3 before; how did the lenses compare to the 0 - 4 for everyday skiing? I never ski at night so don’t really need Cat 0 although I do ski most other conditions including on a glacier a couple of times a year. I’m wondering whether I need the full 0 - 4 or whether to save some money and get 1 - 3 instead; how did you find the 1 - 3 in bright sunlight?

No matter if you ski at night, its great if they are able to fade lower cause low light skiing is always a problem. It would be interesting though if they fade low enough while cloudy skiing. No review really covers that and when there would be a curve describing when they fade would be interesting and also how long a change for each category takes

I ordered both because I wasn't sure either. I ended up keeping the 1-3 HC, because it has more of a red tint and enhances contrast more for me. The 0-4 is almost clear, not tinted very much. Im in Norway where there is very little light, but a tinted colour makes me see the snow better. Both these lenses will have much better low light percentage than my Smith or Oakley goggles.

do you know anything about the Julbo Cyclon? I kind of like the minimalist design. Also any preference on tint color? I see red, pink, and purple. I've had smith ignitor (pink) before and I like that.

The get the 1-3 HC. It's close to the Smith pink, but much better in low flat light.
