My little brother usually sends me Among Us memes and rickrolls but he just sent me this and I'm surprised but definitely not disappointed. This is beautiful!

This is the perfect music to listen to on a rainy day. I imagine the wood nymphs are dancing in the raindrops.

2nd movement: @3:57 - 5:10 and @6:37 - 7:05 On the second movement, your golden flute has brought the wonderful imitations of... the silvery voice of the lark before daybreak, singing from dark to light! And the whole piece: Bravo, Sir James!
@musik3504 жыл бұрын
Isn't that actually a falcon, judging from the resemblance to Strauss' falcon leitmotif?
@herbertwells87573 жыл бұрын
You've got that mangled. It's "the sweet silver song of a lark", not "the silvery voice of the lark before daybreak, singing from dark to light!" That doesn't even scan.

So absolutely wonderful. But I do love his performance of this with orchestra. No slight to Mr Moll, they are an impeccable long time duo.

Why was this piece not assigned to me as a graduate student? I feel cheated. That’s OK, I’m learning it now and I’ll redeem myself. 🎶

He’s most likely playing on a 14k gold Nagahara. He’s been playing on Nagahara flutes since the 80’s but I could be wrong. I know that he was a Haynes artist in the past.
