Jules was the most misunderstood character ever, and if this episode didn’t change the minds of those who thought she is a villain, idk what will!
@maggiemag35694 жыл бұрын
I can’t believe people thought of Jules as the villain. It was easy to understand how much of a burden Rue’s sobriety felt to her. Imagine your love being completely reliant on you to be okay, and not working on themselves, for themselves alone. As much as I love Rue, she was the toxic one, not Jules.

To be honest, they both had their own problems. Rue had trouble working on herself at first, but Jules helped her and for a short time I believe Rue really did try to get better for herself and the people around her. It is not selfish to work on yourself for others either, Rue Didn't once purposely make it seem to Jules that she was the reason why she was getting off drugs as Rue didn't want to be a burden to anyone, her feeling like a burden depressed her which was also why she didn't go outside for so long. Rue suffered from Depression and even when she was at a low and Jules was gone for a while, Rue didn't advert back to drugs in fact she even made a suggestion to her mother about going back on medication for her mental health. At the end of the season when Jules leaves town and Rue almost goes with them, Rue stops and lets Jules go, This was partly because Nate said to her, Nate tells her that Jules is going to go far in life and that Rue can't because she is a drug addict, He tells her Jules will leave her and that Rue has no chance of a good life- Even though Rue was sober for 3 months and was doing well, her depression made her already believe it was too late and hearing someone say that made it worse, She stops going with Jules because she felt as if she would let her down. This was sadly the last tipping point for Rue she ended up feeling like she was a burden to everyone even her friends so when see her die at the end, some ppl believe this was an accident, but it was actually a suicide Rue knew she almost died last time that's why she did it again.
