It would be interesting to see how you clean books up Jules.

@JulesBurt I recently bought a near mint copy of Halloween 1st edition, Corgi U.K edition for 97 pounds. In America the first edition goes for up to $500 dollars American! 😮

Most of that set of Carl Dreadstone books are actually by Ramsey Campbell. I have most signed, but not all, and I didn't know the slipcase existed.

Fantastic to have them signed Dave👍

Brilliant video Jules and so thought provoking. The strange thing is that I find the huge prices quite depressing even though I have most of the horror books shown. It stops me seeing the books as fun, to be read and left lying around the house type items and see them instead as valuable artifacts not to be touched. Must tell the kids not to skip them all when I am gone!

I know exactly what you mean. Because I want to take these off the shelf and read them, whenever I want, I rarely bag even my most valuable books. Do tell the kids not to trash them!

Another fascinating video, and some jaw-dropping prices, particularly for 80s and 90s horror paperback titles, including movie tie-ins. It's certainly boom-time for lots of them; however, I also wonder how long that particular market will last. Good for those who can get those prices though, and part of me also wishes it was me!

Thanks David, you're right of course, who knows when any particular market might change. Movie tie ins are definitely getting to be a hot area of collecting. There is a documentary about collecting MTI's in production. Worth keeping an eye out👀

Nice seeing a good Doc Savage run, pretty good shape too My score if the summer weren’t too old but I got a complete run of the 1990s Anthony Trollope releases from Oxford Worlds Classics for about $3.50 a book
