Brilliant video, those copies are in great condition. My favourite from this batch is 'The Ark in Space' where Ian Marter makes it into a full on horror story!
@JulesBurt5 жыл бұрын
Agreed mate, Ark in Space is an absolute classic. I loved Ian Marter as an author.

John, that badge is so scarce, I waited for about 2 years until one showed up on eBay, got it for a fiver in the end, patience is the key mate. No, I have a few figures, but not that many.

The Cover for The Dalek Invasion Of Earth having the film Roboman and Saucer with the First film Dalek design suited it because most fans knew the film version better in the 7Os

Jules, the covers on these are terrific, they seem to have improved with age from when I remember them first published. Great video!

I remember reading The Ice Warriors on the coach to Blackpool with my Mum and Dad, to visit the Dr Who exhibition. It was when The Hand of Fear was being televised and they had the actual hand of Eldrad in the exhibit. It was magic

That's a great memory! I remember being at a neighbour's birthday party when Hand of Fear, part 3 maybe, was on!

@@JulesBurt I read so many in the late 70s and early 80s! I used to get them from the local library in Ladbroke Grove London, so it would have been the first four Doctors only 😎

Excellent, Terrance Dick's was the father of Doctor Who books.
@kamandi136215 күн бұрын
Great video. Shame how Terrance Dicks went from writing great novelisations to just churning out hack work with the barest minimum page count. A lot of great stories were done a disservice by this.
@JulesBurt15 күн бұрын
I totally agree with you there. I am pleased that some of the historical stories did get decent treatment, some by the original writers.
