Hello Julie, I agree makeup is so fun and therapeutic and the main thing is that you feel good with it or not. I loved this palette 'la naked' so much, I broke it sniffffff but I have incredible memories and for me it remains one of the most beautiful palettes. Thank you for this tutorial. Hey Julie, I liked the way both palettes worked for you actually. I know for me, if I don’t set a paint pot, or even concealer, any shadow I use kind of skids on! It doesn’t slide/glide as I prefer. I liked the looks you created with both palettes! For me, I have had the Naked palette in my stash (old & new) for so long, that I no longer reach for it on the regular. Your blue eyes are beautiful against any shade of shadow! I love a smoky look on you, the Gunmetal shade is smoldering & sexy! Browns are a more natural choice on your eye color, which I think causes your blues to pop, and a bit more approachable. As far as palettes, Mario’s offers cooler choices with nice glitter choices for special occasions (holidays). On my dark brown eyes I choose Mario over Naked. Thanks for the continued great content! Loving the soft curly updo and nails. Having help would be amazing, especially if the teen is an enthusiastic and happy soul. I believe that being in your 50s is totally freeing. You are more settled and comfortable in your skin. You care less and less about what the outside world may think of your life and how you choose to present yourself to the world. I absolutely love what being in my 50s has taught me. I mean I wear heavy dark eye makeup, ethereal light and sparkly, bright and colourful, and sometimes the odd face gem or two 😂. If I were closer, I would help with your workload for sure. We are so alike in many ways. I am a hairdresser who loves makeup for creativity and expression along with art. I dabble in anything creative. It's a necessity my soul craves, and my body needs the release. It clears out the built-up negativity and stress and replaces it with peace and happiness. OOOOH, what are you wearing? Will there be dancing? I love getting dressed up for holiday parties. I have one dinner to go to this year and it's totally my style. Close friends and family out to a fancy restaurant. It's my husbands work dinner and he happens to employ my brother-in-law and a few longtime friends. Perfect!

I'm happy it's the same for you too. If anyone had told me I'd feel comfortable going out without makeup years ago, I would have thought they were crazy. When my husband first stayed at my house, I was scared to take my makeup off in front of him. I was 38 and still thought he might laugh at me or worse, not come back. 🥺 It's taken a long time for me to be comfortable in my own skin. Were you the same?

I thought the same thing. Weird! It is a warm brown but it doesn't look irritating in person. Too funny. All the other colours looks correct though. Or maybe it is that red and I never noticed before.

I like the naked eyeshadow palet, I like the naked eyeshadow pallet way better then the Mario, I don't like when the shimmers are chunky or has micro glitter in them. I have meture eyelids so I prefer old shimmers ( if I can call them that..) Your 2 eyeshadow look is werry pretty on you. I stil have the naked 3 I love suddel pink colors. I debating if I need the naked 1 and naked 2 pallet too 😂 Big hugs from Denmark. 🥰🌹💝

We have the same taste and you can call them old shimmers. 😂 You made me laugh. I find especially as I get older, the sparkles can fall where the shimmers stay put. I prefer this palette over the other one and the formula. I like the other one but I wouldn't tell anyone it's a must have palette. I have to look at the Naked 2 palette. I remember Naked 3. Totally my colours. Now I have to go look.

@JulieMeikle Thank you so much 😂 Naked 2 is the cool tone, it is such a beautiful pallet. I think the naked palettes is easy too juse. there are not all those special shades in the naked palettes, that a lot of pallets have at the moment and can make it difficult to juse, a special if the person is new to makeup or not that advanced in makeup. 🌹💝🥰

It's not you base OR your age. That Mario palette is just terrible. Blends poorly, looks patchy, and emphasises texture. Just awful. I've been MIA for a white. Dark place. Deleted all social media. Oh the joys. I totaly understand about feeling lovely. 4 bloomin years I've completely isolated myself. But after a year of being held captive in my own home and SAd by a gang of muslim immigrants, I challenge anybody to want to socialise again after fleeing your home, changing your identity and being constantly terrified of being found. It's a hell of a experience to try and heal from. You can only do the best you can with the very few resources available. If sometimes that means having to completely disengage from the world to try and maintain some semblance of sanity, then so be it. Did you read my IG message? I sent a couple emotional videos too. Oh dear. Must have scared you a fair bit. Don't worry, I'm not gonna be trauma dumping all the time. I'm just here for the beauty and occassional live chat. Although I must to remember to let other chat too lol. How was your comedy night?
