The episode with Nancy made me want to be a pastry chef. Julia's reaction stayed with me since I was 8 years old. I'll never forget that moment.

she was such a wonderful person! a brilliant cook and baker, and so unique and down to earth with a can-do attitude. and she is not hard, but a warm talkitive person that puts her arm around her guest cooks, complimenting and encouraging them. she was really something!! julia, you gave us so much and we miss you!!!

She's so amazing and so natural, not any trained TV personality, just a normal person with enormous passion for food :D

By this time she was too damn crippled to cook and ate her final years away, what a sweetheart and what a way to live, I wish my grandmother cried over food!

@thegirl44 I do know that Dorie Greenspan wrote a cookbook with all the recipies from Julia's series. On PBS.org, they do have some episodes. I tried to make the tourte, but I just couldn't match the awesomeness of Julia.
