The incomparable Julia Fisher! i have seen her perform, she is absolutely incredible, everybody saw her, in one passage where her part had a rest, she put her head down,closed her eyes and conducted the orchestra that way, and you can see that everyone gets it, and followed her perfectly!!!! Her musical understanding is astronomical, and don't forget, she is BOTH a top concert Violinist and concert pianist, and the youngest university music professor in the history of Germany!!!!!

Mendelsshon, so bold, what a genius, even thought he lived a short period of time whar he has done is timeless. One of the most brilliant violin concertos in my opinion. Great performance by Julia Fisher...

I think she was a little bit insecure in the beginning, the last note at 1:04 was not so good as she wished, so can be seen afterwards, meanwhile when the orchestra plays she has a very disappointed face... but then I would say she found strength and showed everything she got! :D

My favourite concerto as well! I think even Julia Fischer can't beat herself, I saw the following times she played Mendelssohn's Concerto and it was great but it was not exceptional as on this occasion, in my opinion.

Every musician preforming here is, for me, a genius. Julia Fischer is truly a divine spirit who chose to come to earth as a gift to humanity. An as for Mendelssohn, he is the MOST underrated of the great western composers. Mendelssohn's creative talents have never been surpassed, and probably not equaled since his time.
