It was Tartini who, after being injured in a duel, coined the phrase: "those who can, do.....those who cannot, teach." He was referring to swordfighting, and this phrase of his is one of the most abused in the English language, often used to mock teachers as those who "cannot do" and therefore can only teach.

its julia fischer. i just hate that guadagnini. why the hell she gave up playing the booth, i will never know. she says she wanted her own violin...she had the most vocal violin ever made. it literally sings the booth does, like a woman's voice. steinbacher can't get it to sing though she isn't sensitive enough like julia is.

Sure Julia u r a lovely babe , but I would like to see u playing with an orchestra ! And thank u Gerhard . For me the best performace was the one of Fritz Kreizler . But Julia does It good as well👍but is lacking the orchestra! So , this is the best version I have seen without an orchestra!! I thank Gerhard and I love Julia 🥰 ! And dont forget that Juisepe Tartini has Said that this cant be compared to the original song that the Devil has given to him 🤔😢😭😂😲😮 já

This recording appeared among the suggested ones and I listened to it. I reccomend anyone to listen to "David Oistrakh & Frida Bauer plays Tartini Devil's Trill", for my taste of another level under practically any aspect. However, I wish I could play the violine as Julia Fischer.

This is a beautiful song. I am certain that either someone was playing a trick on Tartini or he was using the claim that this came from the devil for publicity. It most certainly did not. I have actually heard the devils music and it was the scariest ugliest most horrifying thing you could possibly hear. It felt like someone was trying to murder your soul, and sounded like someone puking and defocating through their instrument.
