@Tom so why are other countries paying a fraction of what we are paying Syria are paying 0.286 a litre Venezuela 0.022 a litre we are paying 2.24 a litre. How are we paying 100 times the cost of Venezuela if its just supply and demand we would all be charged around the same. Its a complete scam they are getting what they can, ripping people off. The Paris agreement is what it all really about achieving net zero by 2030 which is fine but that means poor and middle income earners in our countries will effectively be working to pay bills and no more. This is only the start once they know people will pay these prices they will just keep pushing and pushing.
@1860mc2 жыл бұрын
@Tom exactly my point we have enough natural resources to do it ourselves. The western world has given up all their natural resources which is why we are all paying huge prices. The green alternative we have in place do not come close to providing the energy we have used in the past with fossil fuels. You also asked do we want our oil rationed, well in effect being rationed now. People can't afford to use it because of the cost then we are being rationed through price. This year how many old people living on a state pension will be able to consume anywhere near the amount of energy they did at over over double the cost of last year?
@1860mc2 жыл бұрын
@Tom so your reply is we become like Venezuela? No Tom we don't need to be like Venezuela at all, we can just become more energy independent here, its that simple.
@1860mc2 жыл бұрын
No we don't need to pay Venezuela wages to produce much cheaper fuel. You said yourself this is supply and demand that is driving up prices not the cost of producing oil. We can produce oil coal and electricity a lot cheaper than we are buying it for and still pay people fairly. When we were producing these things in the past the workers in those industries were considered well paid jobs. I don't get how you think suddenly this will change now. We wasnt being ripped off before when we were self sufficient and we don't need to be now.

Could it be that the govt is milking the profits from fuel 🤔, why would they want to reduce prices significantly?

My goodness this was enjoyable. First of all, I am such a fan of Julia Hartley- Brewer - wish she could be our Prime Minister. What a woman. Secondly and this is what made it so enjoyable, I am a great fan of Jacob Rees-Mogg and would love to see him in a much higher position in the government. A wonderful interview with Julia asking questions that matter and pointing out points of interest that matter - no matter what, rather than rubbish preaching of so many of our journalists nowadays which is exactly why I have given up on MSM - low quality/High nagging/nannying or more sinister, High Leftie propaganda. Rees-Mogg was caught out but he answered well.

No more breakfast for me Mon- Thursday. She has to be the loudest, rudest woman on radio/tv. Squawking and interrupting JRM who never raises his voice is unacceptable. Constant interruption and 90% of the time taken with her voice is enough to make your ears bleed! You’ve driven me to GBNews

The Tories are on very thin ground for credibility. 15 years in power and what do we have? Woke infestation Mass illegal and legal immigration Highest taxes ever Crime soaring Cost of living soaring Brexit not delivered in any meaningful way Truly a pitiful effort and the only reason why they aren't being turfed out is that the opposition incredibly are even worse. At some point we are going to have to accept that the people of this country are getting what we deserve, as we have tolerated this trash for many many years and not kicked all of the old WEF owned shell parties to the kerb.

"opposition incredibly are even worse." What a stupid thing to say. They've not been in power since Blair, they're a very different Labour now. It's clear the Tories have completely failed, so it's time they made way for another party to try.

Brexit was delivered in the most meaningful way possible. We are out the common market. It exactly how it was always going to go down. It’s just that at the time when people told you this you wrote it off as a plot by the deep state or the WEF or Soros or whatever boogeyman you’re scared of this week. Welcome to reality.
