P.S. Be safe on your travels by yourself.......if you ever feel unsafe again & someone is looking in to your van, possibly consider quietly moving to the front seat, starting up your van & preparing to drive off. I know you might lose that spot that way, but it'd be safe, esp if you are in a campsite & there are no other ppl any where near you. People that choose to look in to your windows could be the "wrong kind of people"........ stay safe & stay alert.

Although I have a high-end studio after traveling and spending time with family, it takes me almost a week to unwind and get everything unpacked and re-acclimate to my place, too. So glad you got to spend time with family, that's important! You will love your van again and your lifestyle, it's just emotional in the transition back. ❤

When I did my several month's long cross-country adventure by myself many years ago I mostly camped and stayed in cheap Motel 6-level motels, and occasionally stayed with friends and family along the way. And every time I slept on a real bed and had a real shower and all the rest, it was hard going back to camping. I mean actual camping, in a tent, as my car's just too small to sleep in unless it's an emergency situation. Finding a location and then a spot, setting up, cooking dinner, cleaning up, trying to fall asleep when I feel all grimy and sweaty, then making breakfast in the morning, breaking camp, putting it all back in my car. It wasn't always easy and sometimes I just wanted to quit because living on the road can be a pain and a hassle and there are times you just want to pack it all in and quit. But I saw it through, as you will, and am happy that I did. It's a cliche but it's the hard times that make you appreciate the good times. Hang in there Julia. You're made of stronger stuff.

I love that power station! I will have to check it out. I just got a 1000w eco flow that has made life a lot easier but I would still like a smaller one that is easier to carry around my property. Flush toilets.... Keep this in mind... when you flush a regular home, flush toilet, a very fine microscopic spray sprays out 6 feet or more, covering everything in its path. Yes, from out of the toilet bowl. That's gross! Composting toilets and your kind of toilet doesn't do that. Yours is MUCH more sanitary.

Hi, Julia.... I hope that with time it will feel a bit more comfortable to be back in your van. It may just take that.....some time.... you were with your friend for quite some time & then with family. So, your mind & heart is having to get used to the quiet & alone time. Maybe see if another van life friend would like to meet up with you or look for some van life "meet ups" in any of the areas you might be visiting! :).

Humans are social creatures, hence cities exist. You find a community, or even going to a gym, shopping, what ever for the needed human contact. I know I start talking to my dishes in 7 days without human contact, LOL.

I think you should tint the back windows of the van Ceramic LIMO TINT, I think that's as dark as you can go...that way people won't be able to look into the van and it will help with the heat!

Amazing video and thanks for being so honest about van life. I’ve only done it in towns I am familiar with and even then it’s not easy. I can’t imagine being out on BLM and the unknown. What watercolor set do you use? I had just the opposite effect of vanlife (umm i guess it was really just location stress) recently as I had been in Denver (with 2 cats in a van)- it was sooo stressful with the heat, not being able to let the kitties out, etc! Now we are back in the mountains, free range on the CO river…Yes decision fatigue is REAL! I hope you get back into the swing of things soon ❤

You can look on indeed for remote work! Other jobs include data entry, pet/house sitting, pet walking and seasonal work such as working at ski resorts, tree planting or at national parks!🙏🏼✨🌷

At least bury it like human waste, but you probably don’t think that is necessary either… lol and you probably do not camp:())
