There's nothing wrong in applying foundation with fingers... but when it's your own fingers and face! When it's someone else doing it I find it very uncomfortable to watch 😣😖. She even had a bloody sponge! And of course she applied a litre of foundation on your poor face 🤦🏻‍♀

I overall agree with those of you who said they'd allow it if they knew the MUA's hands were clean (like they washed them in front of my eyes). At the same time though, I personally would still prefer the use of a brush or sponge: there's something very "intimate" about someone else's hands going all over your face (inner corner of the eye, near the nostrils etc.). Probably it's just me having this weird feeling 😅.

I didn't mind the eyeshadow colour... why did she have you in a choke hold to do your eyeliner? She had her arms around your head and was leaning on your face! I'd have panicked and hit her! The brows were the worse part - different colours!... closely followed by the lips. I think she used lipcote which keeps lipstick on. The foundation! 🤯 why so many layers? Your skin is lovely and doesn't need so much! To clean an eyeliner you can sharpen it, and run the tip through a lighter flame for a second. 😊 Congratulations on your sponsor! I’m not a fan of an MUA using their hands/fingers but in certain places I’m sure they’re cleaner than their brushes and sponges. Why is cleanliness not a top priority? Do they not have inspectors coming around to check on the hygienic conditions of salons, spas, etc.?

That's my question too. Here in the states, it's a big deal, like you have to be state board certified and a good 75% of your state boards is sanitation. I don't understand in what world is sanitary practices just non existent when dealing with other people's skin, but ESPECIALLY their eyes and mouth. They ALL do it, they go right from tube to mouth and all I think is OMG herpes 😳🫨 or pink eye. But at least pink eye is curable with antibiotics. Herpes is literally called "the gift that keeps on giving" for a reason.

Before you mentioned the different coloured-pencil I'd already noticed that on the second brow she was doing the much dreaded boxed-brow technique, but in a different colour from the other? A sponge holds the much germs and can grow things like that, also (I learned all of this in esthetician school) using your CLEAN fingers is a lot better sometimes then brushes because of the heat your body produces

When I worked at Ulta we cleaned makeup with isopropyl alcohol and a tissue so basically all you do it’s spray or dampen the tissue with alcohol and then wipe whatever you wanted to clean . Never actually spray alcohol on the product it ruins the formula

why dont she use a blending brush instead of detail or concealer brush, the makeup actually looks good on you. yes it was not hygienic and brow pencil i think this is why they called worst mua, but all makeup suites you even if its applied wrongly, i feel you shouldnt go for a while, and clean your skin asap incase of germa, be safe because usually mus who not skilled, usually has expired makeuo and just making bit of money but still unqualified to touch peoples skin.
