Long ago a guitar teacher had me learn how to a simple Bach piece. I bought a Julian Bream record (1968) and I fell in love with Mr. Bach, Julian Bream, John Williams, et a. I can now play a Bach Allemande on my guitar and my violin, and am forever deeply appreciative of and grateful for my “Teachers” of strings and love of music!

So sorry you have left us. I am grateful to have heard you play in Berkeley and S.F and the chance to meet you. All the guitarists from our area were grateful for your beautiful music and furthering the art for us all. RIP Master Bream.

I think the story goes that these guys never really rehearsed a lot for these performances and recordings. What I love about that is that you can see the joy in the discovery of things that they love about the music they are playing as they are playing it. I am not sure if I am making sense but JB really lights up when he discovers a passage or something that delights him. This is what making music should be all about. That spontaneous moment of creating something magical.

Es un honor que esta música española hasta las trancas sea interpretada por estos dos grandes artistas ingleses, Julián Beam, RIP, y John Williams, con un sabor y pasión que se diría que son españoles de pura cepa. Magnífico.

Best memories of my life was meeting these two masters of the guitar, taught by the great "Maestro" him self, Andreas Segovia, greatest guitarist in human history. Julian was much more articulate at introducing the pieces, where John, who was much better looking, would just smile.

Granados - maybe the Chopin of the guitar. The character of his inventiveness reminds.

You do know that neither Granados or Albeniz wrote for the guitar? There is a rumour Albeniz once heard one of his compositions I think it was Torre Bermeja and he thought it sounded better on the guitar than the piano.
