He is the front man for one of the best rocks bands ever and they are still touring and selling out shows. He probably just said that to explain his indifference to the format/questions because honestly I think he thinks he is above it. That's just my opinion but certainly don't have to agree.

Saw The Strokes in San Diego years ago and Har Mar Superstar opened for them, such a strange choice but it was fire. Julian was so drunk he couldn't sing so Har Mar did a few songs in his place. They were so cool about it that they redid the show for ticketholders because he couldn't perform. Love em.

I saw Jimmy Fallon open for The Strokes at the Tabernacle in Atlanta. Fallon was great. I never saw anyone throw a lighter or boo them off stage. I do remember The Strokes were over an hour late but once they started playing no one cared.
