I was living in Boston at the time… the way we all took over the streets of that city after this game was unlike anything I’ve see in real life, on tv or anywhere really. Cops had no control or authority due to virtually every human living in that city at the time filling the parks and streets, but there was no need for them because everything was peaceful and everyone was partying together. @@metalscottsman the injuries is what made it a bad defense OBVIOUSLY. The 2011 Patriots defense has a HORRIBLE DVOA ranking of 30th. DVOA factors in points, yards, turnovers, sacks ect. If the offense controls time of possession, field position, turnovers ect its much easier for the defense to keep points off the board.

So they've got my respect. After watching this video on the sport I can't help but feel that I'm missing out on something special. I'm gonna miss the Squirrel. Always showed up when you needed him most. Never took a play off. He made the plays that nobody wanted to make and sacrificed his body doing it. He earned those yards over the middle knowing he was gonna get creamed by a linebacker or safety. He did it because he knew it would take those plays to win. He's a HoFer, not even a question. The only receiver with more yards in the playoffs is Jerry Rice. Only six receivers have won SB MVP putting him among Jerry Rice, Hines Ward, and Lynn Swan. He's in good company.

He's so underrated man. IMO he's one of the best ever. He should get into the HOF simply because he never played WR until coming to the NFL then turned himself into one of the better ones in the league. He always came up in clutch moments and his versatility is just insane, the guy has played everywhere in the field.

Julian was the number 1 receiver on a team that always had a top offense, and always was in title contention. People 50 years from now could look back and be like, "hmm lets see who made this Patriots offense back in the 2010s so good for so long. Gronkowski. I know that guy, freak of nature, and Jul-- Julian Edelman? Well he must have been a helluva player for them to win so much." See what I'm getting at here. Edelman might be a receiver who will end up being more memorable than Odell, Julio or even AB.

Just because other receivers aren't getting into the HoF doesn't mean Edelman shouldn't. Just because we believe he should be a HoF doesn't mean we think he should get in before someone else. You can say someone should be a HoFer without saying he should be first ballot or get in before someone else. His career is HoF worthy. That's all that's being said.

@@SeaGLGaming I understand that, by no means was this an attack on Joseph Vincent or anyone else who shares his opinion, I love the guy and his videos. I honestly felt that I was making a point that even though I disagree with the core message (or at least the title), I know this video is going to be awesome and it was. The Edelman HOF debate is going to be interesting for the next 5 years. In my opinion, he should be remembered as an awesome story and a clutch performer, but he should not be put in the hall of fame. It’s that simple, I am not going to whine when someone disagrees. Also, the point with Cliff Branch was to illustrate that a player that I feel is way more deserving (when he retired, Branch was 2nd in playoff receiving yards, he is now 4th, he also has more pro bowls, all pros and career receiving yards and tds than Edelman, Swann and Stallworth) is still not in the hall of fame.

He has no personal accomplishments, 0 pro bowls, horrid stats (when compared to some wrs that aren’t even in the hof yet), is a literal downgrade of Wes welker in every statistical category (someone who isn’t in the hof yet either and probably won’t be) He doesn’t deserve to be in the hall of fame, hell Chris Collinsworth has better stats than Edelman 😂🤦‍♂️

Also guys like Michael Crabtree has more post season tds then Elderman and Elderman played in way more games. If you only guy by yards (cherrypicking) then all that tells me is he caught a bunch of dink and duck plays thanks to Gronk drawing most of the coverage and couldn't make guys miss for YAC. Not a hall of famer. Hell Wes Welker at least has pro bowls, all pros, and lead the league in receptions multiple times.
