Here because I just watched the Hoarders episode with this house. These two guys were amazingly nice to the former owner Sandra, who suffered from horrible mental illness and hoarding. Sad that the young man from the episode, Luther, was killed in a car accident. Kudos to Michael and Eric. Glad to see they have restored the house.

@@harmdizzle1979 He passed away in motor vehicle accident back in 2017. It made me really sad to hear. You could tell he had a real good heart. I'm sure his family was happy, at the very least, that the world got to see that, even if it was just in a small way.

To flip the house would be one thing. To restore it is a rarer occurrence. To restore the home and treat the former owner with such kindness, concern, and compassion... it's astounding. You don't hear about stories like this. This wasn't just a financial investment, this was almost like a healing act. Much respect to these guys.

You guys were SOOO wonderful with her! What a stunning result! You DID IT!! My heart aches for all that was lost. Had she been able to do it over a few years so much could have been saved. But there was just toooo much!! Also, considering the size of the house it seemed five days with a salvage team added to the auctioneers would have made a better show. But who could go through that for two days more!?

I was married in a mansion 26 years ago but could not stay. What a dream it would be as a new bride to have had my wedding there, then been able to spend the beginning of our honeymoon in such a beautiful, nostalgic, peaceful place. So many of these types of homes have been left to rot and be razed. Kudos to the owners for their passion and purpose with restoring it and having a heart to give back to the former owner and the community!

I watched the hoarders episode when it originally aired. The compassion that this couple showed for Sandra was incredible. They were so patient with her. I know most people would not have been able to put up with what she was doing. It's so amazing to see the finished product. What a great job!

I’m watching this episode of Hoarders right now… I’ve seen it a couple times over the years in reruns, never thought to look it on KZbin… but my god they went through hell and back to get into this house and get Sandra out. They definitely earned everything they’ve done to this place. I always wondered what they did to the place and what it looked like after, it’s gorgeous. My heart goes out to Sandra for the way things ended; I wished things ended differently for her. As for Eric and Michael, they are a wonderful couple with so much compassion in their hearts. I'm happy to hear that they were able to restore and fix this gorgeous home into something others can enjoy. It would have been sad to see this beautiful historic home destroyed like so many other historic homes in the U.S. wasting away.

I watched the show on hoarders and the prior owner. These two gentlemen more than stepped up to accommodate her and it looked way overwhelming! She said she was planning on living in an Airstream the minute they started filming and it’s just what she did too! These men are truly fine people that have restored such a piece of artwork that I can’t see anyone else doing compared to what they did. There so positive and there beautiful kindness within both there hearts is obvious as what they’ve done could never have been accomplished by anyone else. Absolutely beautiful!

I feel like I am an overly sympathetic person, but these men showed compassion that I would find difficult showing. I know its a show, but damn, she was a BITCH and they were SAINTS. I am so glad they are able to support their family with this project. I can't imagine the heartbreak they felt while forcing her away, but it seemed like they did everything in their power to help her. What great people and I can only hope there are more like them in the world.

She was not a bitch, she was an elderly person who found themselves homeless and someone else benefitting from that. Why didn't her brothers help her get an apartment? She had a MANSION and was left homeless. I think all of us would act a little cray cray if that happened to us.

I got too invested 😂 i think "bitch" was harsh and I completely agree that her brothers should have helped her. But I think her mental illness burned a lot of bridges for her which sucks, but I do remember these guys being nothing but nice and understanding (as much as they could be) to her. This is a beautiful home that needed to be saved. I hope that she finally reached out to get the resouces to help her.

Wow! The house is beautiful. I saw the episode with Sandra. Compared to most hoarders, she was clean in the sense that she didn't have tons of garbage, feces and urine (human or animal) to destroy the structure of the house like so many hoarders do. At least two hoarders had so much junk that the beams under their house broke.

The compassion those two men had for the previous owner was absolutely amazing. I wish them all the happiness in the world because they truly deserve it.

These guys have such huge hearts and deserve every success they get! I'm really curious if much of the stuff Sandra left behind was used, since it seemed that a lot of it was original to the house and you can see that there were some truly quality pieces of furniture and decor mixed in with the junk. I hope a lot of it was salvaged in one way or another instead of rotting away in a landfill.
