There is either a lot of effort and with time you get the reward or if you are a lazy person and think with 50 or 100 images you want to make millions then its done for you. I’m an Adobe Stock contributor and I can tell you that if you continue putting in the work, you can definitely capitalize on your work over the years. If I had a tip, it would be to concentrate on the seasons that are coming up, like the holidays and tailor your content for it to be in demand for those times.

I've given up submitting to 123RF, as I'm still waiting for them to review my images after several weeks. I've been doing stock since around 2006, but have just recently gotten around to uploading again. Even though more than half my images on Adobe are AI, it's the proper images that are selling, including some that I uploaded back in 2007 taken with a 6MP camera. It really comes down to picking the right subject I think. I've found that Adobe are much quicker at reviewing AI stuff and editorial than normal commercial images.

To make good money on Adobe stock you need to have at least 10,000 images uploaded. I'm talking about approved images, not images in review. Did you keep track of how many of your images were rejected? That is where you should focus your research. Find out what types of images are being rejected and why they were rejected. Do this and your image approval will increase which leads to more images in your portfolio.

You seem to have your pics set to 5376x3584 . What are the recommended sizes on these sites. Maybe you are making them a bit too small for a commercial pictures.

I'm a bit skeptical. A lot of sites you mention does not allow Generative AI Images. For example shutterstock. There is a part of me that wonders if I joined Shutterstock and never mention my uploads were AI, would I get away with it?

thanks' for your honesty. I pretty much did the same, but i automated a lot of my steps bit further. (image upscaling with local PC, tag generation with ChatGPT) I also stuck with the series of an image principle, so that i can reuse same tags for a few images. I am now getting about 20-30$ per week. (i have over 15k approved images already) is it worth the time ? absolutely not. But i want to build up passive income, and well, instead of gaming i now invest time in AI image creating :)

If you find an image, you can literally remake a copy that image with AI. So images are worth 0 dollar, but the tech that makes it are worth

FWIW - I've tried a very similar process. After 6 or 7 months, my statistics: 204 Images uploaded. 93 Downloads. Total Sales $62.55 Definitely not a get rich quick scheme. But kindof a fun way to practice using Midjourney.

It would probably take you about a year to get to the size of portfolio needed for $500, which would be between 5.000 - 10.000 stock photos with high commerical value. Commerical value is important, you can upload 10k random pics and get 0 sales. Most of the time you would be wailting for approval, since you are limited to 50 uploads and have to wait about a month before they get approved and a considerable amount will be rejected (anywhere from 10%-50%) but it improves after you get enough sales.
