I think John Kiriakou is the most interesting guest I've ever seen or heard on any podcast. He can make a 3 hour podcast go by in a blink of an eye. He has such a soft spoken, honest demeanor that can win you over quickly. Then you remember he's a trained spy and assassin that also had the balls to go against the CIA, FBI, president and expose them for being liars. John has had an amazing life.

I still cant believe he hasnt been on the shawn Ryan show yet, I think they would hit it off. Anyways great episode Julian. You dont get enough credit for being the first guy to interview alot of these guests that go on to have significant popularity.

John is amazing! The man was nice enough to send me an autographed copy of one of his books to me at my old job. It's one of my most cherished books. He's such an incredible human being. I don't think the younger generation truly understands the debt of gratitude that we owe this man for having the courage to do the right thing when the most powerful parts of the government wanted to keep doing the opposite. He truly needs to be in our history books.

I am from a family of Lebanese origin, and hearing John speak about his Greek heritage, the similarities are vast. The food, the dances, the music are all of the same ethnic type, I am a Maronite Catholic, by birth, but I only went to Roman Catholic Churches my entire life. I did go to a wedding in Birmingham, AL, that was at a Maronite Church, and it reminded me of a Greek Wedding I had been to before. I could listen to John on podcasts all day.

Loved the reference about that, and that's so funny how he talked about MI-6 guys randomly popping up while at some undercover dinner party or something. "Hello John!" Fascinating to listen to no matter who he is speaking with and seems like an extremely genuine individual no matter what the topic of conversation is. 100% of what he said about his gun experience is bullshit. And anyone who’s even casually into guns can tell that. Really, they gave him a Desert Eagle? Ok. His company car was probably a monster truck, by that logic. Interesting interview, for sure, but if he’s lying about his gun training, he’s probably lying about other stuff too.
