It was so much fun to sit down with the main cast of "Footloose." The film is a love story after all and these two actors succeeded in making us believe in their against all odds romance.
Kenny Wormald is perfect in the role of Ren, the rebellious teen who challenges the status quo, and Julianne Hough can act! We all know her from "Dancing with the Stars" but trust me when I say, she can emote lines as much as performing her dance routines. She plays Ariel, the preacher's wild child daughter.
In this interview, we talked about:

Based on everything about Kenny, where he's from, his looks, and his dancing background, and the other caters that quit from being the lead. I think it was meant to be that he got this role.

I skipped class to watch the earlier show with my friend. We were like the only ones in the movie and we were basically dancing our butts off in that theatre LOL

Wow. Honestly, I'm one of the most skeptical people when it comes to this remake. But as always, I trust you, manny. I might just give this a shot. Awesome interview!

In my humble opinion, this remake is an exception to the rule. That is, although Kevin Baken was FANTASTIC in the original film, the remake is somewhat better than the original. Mostly due to the main characters: Kenny and Julianne. Both can really move and act as well.

@lilsis it was actually REALLY good. better dancing than the original i think and well organized. this girl can really act too and usually the guy's dancing goes unnoticed but i couldn't help but to notice this. my whole class was laughing and cheered at the end and we're all serious film majors skeptical of everything. so yeah, hopefully you do watch it and have a great time like my class and i did :D
