Yeah, and just to clarify when one of the people in the chat said Square Enix owns the Gex IP. Square Enix no longer owns the Gex IP. Square Enix sold off Crystal Dynamics, Eidos Montreal, and all Eidos IP (Tomb Raider, Gex, Deus Ex, Thief, etc.) to Embracer Group back in 2022. So Square Enix has contributed no IP usage to Astro Bot as of yet. Final Fantasy VII (Cloud & Sephiroth) and Kingdom Hearts (Sora) references would make the most sense given the PlayStation lineage. It shouldn't be impossible though, since all 3 of those characters have appeared in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Clive from FFXVI would also make sense, given it's a recent release and is console exclusive to PS5.

I still think Rebirth deserved GOTY more but this is a great game from what i've seen :P (not played it myself but have watched parts of the game)

Rebirth was great and I voted for it (mostly because I know how much work the devs put in it), but having experienced Astro Bot, it makes sense it won because while Rebirth has a flaws here and there, Astro Bot is an overall flawless experience that not only is fun, original, engaging and challenging when it needs to, but every age can play it and there's no complicated story that makes people discuss, theorize or create drama about. To summarize I think Astro Bot won because it's the epitome of what gaming really should feel like.

Tip for you. If you wanna speedrun you should know: when you jump you can jump further when you use attack button.

You should try out the timesplitters trilogy. Levels are pretty short and it’s a crazy fun game from the PS2 era. They have all 3 of them on the PlayStation store now. Enjoy :)

I beat Wukong and Rebirth and Astrobot. I thought rebirth got robbed for goty but Astrobot was super fun

@@JK-of3es Ditto, Rebirth was an UNREAL experience. But I do think AstroBot was deserving for sure. In theory all the nominations deserved except for that DLC. Maybe they did that for marketing
