Played this in 2003 with my then girlfriend, now wife. Whenever the opportunity arose I would say “ Not until the end, Always. “ I didn’t think she remembered where it came from. But, at our wedding, her vows to me ended with “ Always, then. “ Twenty one years later we are still together and have two amazing girls. It’s a true joy to watch you play & experience it. Brings back so many wonderful memories, and it teaches a lifelong lesson. Live, as much as you can, in the moment. 💙

I'm the opposite. I was crying back then because I was young. Now, this seems just like the stupiest love story ever, Tidus acts like he is 10 and Yuna is shit. I have no love for FFX tbh. Combat was a step back from ATB, exploration was a huge step back and characters were more goofy. But I can accept that others like it. I think FF16 is the only FF that they actually wrote a believable love story.

@@sebastiendaigle7214 Yuna is considered by many to be the best female protagonist out of any other within the whole of FF franchise. While yes, Tidus can act pretty childish, I'd take him over the ultra edgy brooding Cloud or Squall any day. The true turn based combat is also held in high regard by many fans of the franchise (you're actually the first person I've seen to call it a step back from the ATB system, it's wild), being a very linear game, exploration was lacking but the end game challenges are still quite fun. All the main cast have their own personalities, feel different and are extremely lovable in their own way. While FFX is not my #1 in the series (that spot is reserved for FF9) it is still the only FF to ever make me cry. You're entitled to your own opinion but it's a pretty shit opinion in my opinion.

Ah yes the chocobo race. Of all the optional things I struggled with that one the most on my first playthrough. Now I started my own playthrough when I started watching this series and did it within 10 tries. I guess practice and ancient muscle memory do come in handy sometimes XD

I think my favorite thing about Blitzball is how theres a weird story element to it as well. What I mean is, in Luca everyone goes on and on about the Goers. makes sense, theyre the home team where the stadium is. The story goes on and on about the Goers, and establishes they are the reigning champions every year. However, when you break down the teams and player stats, the Al Bhed Psyches is the best team in the entire game. Story wise, no one would ever give them their flowers. Why would they? Theyre Al Bhed. but in the Blitzball game the Psyches are INSANE. Their stats are insane. I've played probably 500 hours of Blitzball alone in my lifetime thousands of hours of playing FFX and the Psyches are the only team who've ever given me trouble. I can put together a team who by the numbers alone is undefeatable, and the Psyches still give me a run for my money maybe 40% of the time whereas the other teams might give me a hard time 5% of the time. The Al Bhed Psyches cannot be slept on. Also when I was a kid grinding Blitzball I didn't know Brother was recruitable. The Al Bhed Psyches after a couple dozen tournaments recruited him and I experienced first hand how his Speed stat breaks the game. The Psyches were so dominating that I actually reset the minigame entirely just to recruit Brother because I was so frustrated. I even do challenge runs where I recruit Brother but dont play him because hes too good, I just pay him to sit on the bench so no one can have him. Hes the most broken character in Blitzball. Also I love my Blitzball wife Vilucha. Also I hate Nimrook.

You should always put Rikku and Tidus in your initial formation because they are your fastest characters, and that will grant you always the first turns and dont get ambushed so oftenly like when you are with the slowpokes Auron Kimahri and Lulu lol
