Something I never registered-when Julie starts in on “Spoonful of Sugar,” she sort of speak-shout-sings it rather than singing it ordinarily as she’s done the rest of the medley. Anyone who does a credible Julie Andrews impression will do exactly that kind of speak-singing. Which means, I think, that when she sings her own song, Julie is doing an impression of HERSELF!

Carol wanted some highlights and decided to put peroxide on her hair, (the night before performance). She didn't see any difference and kept piling it on. What fine women. How could they possibly have remembered all those songs, much less melded them so perfectly? Anunnaki below wondered if the world in 1965 was classier and more elegant than it is today. I don't know about that, but clearly some essential magic seeped away when we weren't paying attention. The year 1965 wasn't good for women, that I know, so I don't want to imagine that it was a golden time. But it did have Carol Burnett and Julie Andrews on stage together. That's something. If the world should stop revolving then God will no longer make little green apples. To Anunnaki, by all the evidence available to me, yes, it was a time classier and more elegant. Women were battered and abused and raped, but they started on a journey that you must finish. These two women are so immensely fine.

I always start at 7:10 the boy from ipanema how come when we went walking no beautiful lady ever said Aaah. That was a joke but I wanted to praise the excellent and amazing choreography of the dance and performance of Ms Burnett and the voice of Julie Andrews I have been listening to this video for the past one and half years and a nice kind person wrote all the songs sung in the medley with a couple of them missing. Again thank you!
