Julie Andrews singing "Dear Friend", one of two songs from the Bock and Harnick show "She Loves Me" she recorded as a single issued in England. (The flip was the title song, usually sung by the male lead). Julie was originally slated for the Broadway production, but dropped out due to film commitments and then was to make it as a film with Dick Van Dyke. But the flop of "Star" prompted MGM to pay her $1 million not to make the film. Pity, ideal material for her, more so than several other films she did make. Cleaned of minor noise and haze by Tormented Artist Ink Studios (me).
