There is a minority of people that can speak fluent Spanish in the Philippines, especially those that are of Spanish and/or Mexican descent. But in general, major Filipino languages (Tagalog, Bisaya, Ilocano, etc.) have Spanish loanwords sprinkled within them, most notable is the Chavacano language which is a Spanish-based creole indigenous to the south-western part of the Philippines.

Philippines was once colonised by Spain and one place in Mindanao they speak Spanish. There are words in the Philippines are Spanish but Julie is just so talented that she learned the lyrics (language) fast. That's why she sung it perfectly.

there's a certain region in the southern Philippines that speaks broken spanish. the dialect is called chavacano which is a type of spanish creole..

Yes we do speak spanish but not that much now. But before it was included in our college subject and our tagalog language was mixed of spanish language. That is why its very easy for us to copied and sing spanish song. I do sing as well spanigh song... Cheers to you dan!!!

Filipinos is under 400 years of Spanish rule our elder people speaks spanish than English it is part of school curriculum but in midts 80's it was phase out in the curriculum however, there are quite many regions in the Phils. has a borowed languages in spanish like in Cebu more of our dialects are in spanish spoken.

Philippines was colonized for 300 years by Spaniards. Until 1986, Spanish Language had been incorporated in the Educational System as part of the curriculum. I belonged to the last batch who studied Spanish Language in College Dan.

Tagalog has evolved to include words and diction from the Spanish language. A lot of the Spanish words still remain in widespread use in today’s Tagalog ex.: zapatos-sapatos, escuela-eskwela tio-tiyo Pronounciation/diction of words are very similar evn differ in spell. Therefore, filipino singing in spanish will sounds better compare to other nationality.

yes we use some spanish words in phils.and some of the lyrics in this song is we use it often.apellido is apelyido in tagalog,suave,pacita etc..we we colonized by the spaniards before thats why filipibo culture n language are mix..ther is place in phils using spnish language..chavakano dialect....ilokanos too use some spnish words
