Ive been saying this from the very begining!! Ethan is the answer, he literally told them that the map or the way out could be in the diner amongst the previous residents stuff. No one is checking the back of the diner, there's loads of stuff there.

So Julie is definitely going to be the key but I think the person to give the children hope by telling them stories is Ethan and along with manifesting the roots they put their hopes in they also create a Facsimile of Ethan to act as a guardian of their hope and it will be known as “The Boy in White”. Just my guess.

I think they don't need to save the children, I think they need to get them to release. Their spirits are whats holding this town in place, and i think if they are encouraged to let go and move on, the town will end. I definitely think the answers are in the back of the diner. Someone gave them hope and i think that person was julie and i think Julie is the one that has to go back and undo that.

Yes I think you’re on to something. Again, maybe I’m just pulling too much from Dark but I think one side wants to maintain the cycle while the other side is trying to break the cycle. I think that yeah, maybe julie is on the maintain side and brings the hope, the man in yellow jacket is wanting to break it. Ethan, possibly will follow the break the cycle path which is why Sarah was given the instructions to end him. Who knows 🤷‍♀️. I hope it’s not that derivative.

I agree with you… But I think inadvertently this whole place is being created by Ethan Ethan is telling the stories to his sister. His sister is telling the stories to the young Cooey kids on Cooey kids are then creating the manifestation of that story and when they realize this, Julie will be able tosave everyone by creating an ending to the story that will end the curse… Kind of a basic bootstrap paradox… With a bit of an escape patch

My theory What if from is a world were everyone gets to see someone they have lost like someone whos dead a chance to live with them, the people in fromville have all lost someone in the family, they continue the loop so that they can meet their loved ones , maybe if the loop ends some people may not even exist

Time in From can be explained by understanding everything already happened before Act one. All they are doing is remembering what happened. They can't save the children, they can only remember the true circumstances and move on.

This popped into my head minutes after watching the finale. I think she goes back and tells them the story of the Cromenockle to give them hope. And the people that the children are choosing to come there are based on heroes from that story. So they will go back and look to the story to figure out what everybody’s purpose there is.

Or my simulation theory is true and something happened to the children which caused the program to go haywire so to see the children is to literally like you save a file in a computer program and you save the original version before the corruption happened

I disagree. They are going to use the time travel to go back to the beginning to save the kids. Which will fix every death that's happened after. None of the shows characters will have ever entered the town. None of the reincarnated ppl will know and be living the life they had. It's a typical time travel plot. They need to go back and defeat Skynet before it's ever made.

But Skynet always happens because multiple time lines are created through time travel. Watch Netflix's The Terminator Zero. You can't visit or change the past.

@ParklinMedia Depends what version and rules of time travel they want to apply. Use Back 2 the Future or butterfly effect. Just one timeline. Changing the past rewrites the rest of that timeline, for better or worse. Like The Simpsons episode. Or, they do what the movie Deja Vu did. A looping timeline like 12 Monkeys, but in Deja Vu he leaves clues for himself to break the loop. I think From is gonna do the 1 timeline concept, that can be rewritten.

I don’t agree with your take here. The whole Julie theory seems far off imo. Also Ethan told her she can’t change the story then a julie clearly from a different timeline appears attempting to save Jim as she says “This is where it happens “ as Jim gets killed. Don’t see how she’s changed anything and don’t believe she would be capable of doing so either. What happened with Boyd and the rope was supposed to happen, so was Jim dying.
