I like what this lady said about Ministers living off the wealth of donated funds for the work of the Gospel. They shouldn't. I find the title of this video very misleading, especially given its upload date straight after the publication of report that finally sank RZ's reputation. I was expecting JR to cite or play video of JM criticising RZ over the recent scandals, but there's nothing like that - just one passing undated reference (i.e. it could have been 20 years ago) to JM claiming RZ was in it for the money. Nothing else at all about what JM ever said about RZ, let alone re. the various scandals. That said, what JR says is all fair game, but the video title really is clickbait, not to say a missed opportunity.

I have mixed feelings on this one. John MacArthur has been pastor of that church for 50 years. Even if he did nothing else in 50 years, staying with that same thing, and building it in the way he has would earn him the right to have $$. There are few people who would invest that type of work, no doubt not easy, for that number of years. So I don't have the problem with big houses, etc. You work hard and are successful for 50 years, then you deserve to be rewarded financially. And my guess is that he makes hundreds of thousands of dollars a year in royalties. But the positions that his sons have, and their level of compensation is concerning. It's not concerning that they are employees. It's not unusual to work for a family member. But it is concerning that they are in the positions they are, and have the higher than normal salaries. Compensation should be based on the going rate for people with the same level of experience in the same position. So it's concerning, yes, but some of what is in this video denies reality of the fruit of hard work for many, many years.

When God gives riches, he wants us to be generous with it and help the less privileged and support God's ministry rather than splurge it on ourselves. It's good to downsize and live a sacrificial life thus giving glory to God. My son has been training to be a missionary in war torn countries. He started at the age of 17 and will soon join a mission team in a poor country to start the mission work. He tells us stories about several young people who are training with him, about their difficulties in raising funds for their mission fields most of which are in remote, dangerous and difficult places. Every term as his time for fee payment approaches, we fast and pray asking God to deliver the funds for him. Most missionaries from third world countries going to other world regions struggle to find funds. Our friends from India, now missionaries in Uganda planned to shut down their mission station for lack of funds. It breaks my heart to see many Christians living comfortably when God's servants toil and struggle daily without quitting.

I have been listening to John MacArthur for some time. I find his preaching to be sound. I don’t know him personally but if the accusations leveled against him are based on his position against prosperity gospel and other heretical teachings, then what is stated by Julie Roys is baseless. A man who has written so many books can afford a luxurious house. He did not make merchandise of God’s people. Even if he had built his houses from what he was paid by the church one could not fault him as a hypocrite. As believers we should be very careful not to seek to slander our brothers and sisters in the Lord. Instead we should pray for them and before we jump on the internet it’s best to speak privately to them. I sometimes wonder if there is envy in the American Christian camp. Why is it you all so quick to try to tarnish each other’s reputation? I can understand when it comes from the world but not from our fellow brethren.

A salary is one thing. Revenue from his writing is another. When the lion's share of his income is coming from his own work, then it's his to do with as he sees fit. (To his own master (God) he will stand or fall.) Who are you to judge John MacAurthur for this particular aspect of his life? John MacA condemning the "Health and Wealth Gospel" is a whole different matter and category than making a judgement: "He's just in it for the money". The health and wealth gospel is a message to manipulate the sheep to give to false preachers in order that they would be financially blessed by God. "He's just in it for the money" is a possibly improper judgement call regarding another man's motives. Unless Julie Roys know with *absolute certainty* HOW John MacA spends on his person AS WELL as gives to the extension of God's kingdom, she has no business opening her mouth in judgement.

99% of the radio ministries take the pastor’s Sunday and Wednesday evening sermons and distill them down to 20-25 minute broadcasts., which is why you hear a single sermon in 2-3 subsequent broadcasts. That’s not odd nor sneaky, that’s the norm/how radio broadcasts originate. Is there really no transparency? So do what you say and go ask for their financial data. Have you been denied that data? If they’re a 501c, it should be publicly available.

Ravi Zecharias was a great man of God and I am sure many non Christians would have come to Lord Jesus Christ through his exposition of Lord Jesus in lectures and through his books . Because King David was a murderer we cannot stop reading Psalms . If Ravi Zecharias sinned by committing adultery with many women it is for him to confess his sins to Lord Jesus and ask for forgiveness . If we are committing adultery with our eyes and heart , it is for Lord Jesus to forgive our sins . Did not our Sweet darling Lord Jesus forgive and save the woman caught in adultery who must have been trembling with fear when she was about to be stoned to death by a group of men who were convicted of their adulterous sin in their heart by Our Lord Jesus ? Enough of this dissection of Ravi Zecharias’s sinful life ! Are we still talking daily about the audacity and villainy of a righteous King of Israel who was so cruel and filled with the devil when he lusted with his eyes to take his army’s bravest mans wife to sleep with her when he was fighting in the battle , and also cunningly kill him to take his wife to be his wife for the rest of his life ? All of us are sinners ! Let us move on with our own life and ask our precious darling Lord Jesus to guard our mind and heart and eyes daily from the temptations of the flesh and by the snares of the devil and let us resist the temptation of accusing other sinners!

It sounds like she is trying to hold teachers accountable. There was definately a problem wity James Macdonald, he mismanaged harvest bible churches in illinoise, if you listened to his radio ministry he sounded like a relatable good teacher but, behind the scenes it was different. Then now all that has come out regarding Ravi has been very damning with zero evidence of repentance, now people are questioning his testimony story as well as his credentials. I think what everyone really should be asking is, what is he doing, is this an the beginning of uprooting of false christianity, are the teachers going thru the refiners fire? If thats the case I hope all false teachers are exposed and God's will is done. If this is the refiner's fire false teacher's works will be burned up, folks are going to be humbled, his people should draw closer to him, false converts will fall away and maybe the church will learn how to regard teachers properly. I admit I'm guilty of holding teachers or people of influence in too high regard, it has interfered with fervently seeking the lord.

A very disturbing rendition, not sure of the veracity of this report. However, I am concerned that the only picture given of John MacCarthur is a negative one. That fact is equally concerning. I have also be en able to investigate this church leader and discovered that his ministry is huge and on a global scale. I would think his homes are used for many invited speakers and invitees related to the ministry. The cost of any home in this location are relative to the cost of John MacCarthur’s. I don’t want to qualify every point of this reporter and justify any possible wrong doing. However, It would be easy to criticise a pastor for having anything remotely more than his flock. I know of this churches’ great generosity to a multitude of great causes. So, let’s not single out one issue that, when out of context, can become a pretext for any narrative that a critic gets mileage from. Yes, J. MacCarthur is living a rich life comparatively speaking, but what does he do with his wealth. j. MacCarthur has preached the word of God several times a week for over 5 decades! He’s produced great quality bibles and books for decades. He supports all sorts of good causes that support vast multitudes. He is perhaps the most accurate, and apostolic preachers the world has seen in recent times. He’s clearly kept his head out of the clouds, I don’t think he has his own plane when he easily would be offered one if wanted. I’m not saying J. MacCarthur should not be held to account, the fact he has revealed his income. Mason is fighting to show women can’t be rational, which is something godly women would baulk at. These are signals there’s more to Masons involvement in this chastising of a church pastor than meets the eye. What is really eating up this woman? Why is she so on this mans case with prima-facie being formed into facts that are then, according to Mason, verified? It’s a very poor way to do investigative journalism, yet that’s the way the left in America do journalism. That’s why the mainstream media have that very sticky title that Trump coined “fake news”. No one trust these kind of people, no rational, thinking God loving people do. The Godly, are gifted with a sense of right and wrong, they discern more of what is right, it’s a gift that comes with knowing God. So I’m highly sceptical of Masons assertions based on my reasons given here. Her rational does not ring true. MacCarthur has withstood many trials throughout his 50 years in ministry. We as Christians expect persecution, Jesus himself endured this and some. So, these attacks are expected. There’s smoke with say, Swaggart, or, very sadly, more recently with Ravi. But Mason would rather put her attention where there is no smoke, other than that being ‘generated by mason herself! She has to be careful, it’s not wise to attack an innocent man, especially if that innocent man is a faithful servant of God.
