We went and visited the house, on our trip from San Diego. Saw Julie briefly while we were on the house tour, it was thrilling. We were actually there on the same day that the Shakespeare theater was happening. Beautiful home, highly recommend visiting.

When I was a kid, we had a walk-behind lawn sweeper. I don't even know if they exist any longer. Something like that would be an easier way for you to clean up rose petals or other confetti.

Hi Julie, you are such a determined and hard working woman. Perhaps work smarter not harder and use a lawn rake or a leaf rake with tines that can collect small lightweight items like grass clippings or petals. You’ll be able to clean up the petals more quickly. Way to go trying to expand your skills so you can fill in when needed. The sign of a great leader is one who has no problem mucking in, and you are that in spades!

It's called a tamper and the water forced through the tampered espresso size grounds gives the intense flavour. Oh fun! I LOVE Shakespeare outdoors; we have some troupes here in Ontario.

Also not sure why it's important to pick up the flower petals? Looks like a lovely natural confetti and especially since it's next day and they're still "fresh". I could understand if they were yellowed but then I'd just pick them up on the next lawn trim with the clilpings...

You are a hard worker and a saint! I design weddings in the United States and many venues have prohibited rose petals. I would ban them, your time is valuable, couples are use to this from most venues. ❤ Cheers!

Vacuum cleaning type lawn mower or lawn mower with bagging attachment might be helpful with task of picking up that leftover confetti. You could try handing out bird seed or millet seed. Leftovers for the birds.

I honestly loved the rose petals everywhere, very romantic and a symbol of the care needed with love. Tell it's a testament to their love from the estate. 🥰I can see how that could get on the pavilion floor , but love can and will get messy, too.

Julie is such an industrious woman. I do believe that setting up deposits around that are clearly marked for cigarettes should be a basic. They can be decorative. Easily emptied. I would have taken it canister vacuum cleaner out there. I can only imagine the amount of work that you put into this place and all the people that's around you. You lead by example.

Julie Dec2022 I started out with an ear infection & so I chewed 3 slivers of garlic then took vitamin C (3×1000mg) several times a day. This sent that bad ear pain packing. One week later in other ear so I repeated same garlic & Vitamin c for other ear pain. I have not had any problems since then. Hope this helps you. If you have roses you could let them develope rose hips by letting the roses developing these rose hips by not cutting all roses back to use in house or for weddings. Rose hips are high in Vitamin C & are great in tea. My best to you. I enjoy your programs. Watching you from Leesburg VA in USA.

Get yourself a leaf blower/vacuum with bag attachment (battery). The job will be done in no time. If you see a lot of cigarette butts on the ground could mean you don't have enough receptacles for smokers to dump their butts. There are many on the market that are designed to look nice.

Hi Julie, the 'romance' of managing a wedding venue! OMG having to pick up rose petals is clearly a chore but having to pick up cigarette buts after smokers is above and beyond. Why can't smokers manage to put their buts in a bin... I was on my daily walk today on Lake Como and can't believe the number of cigarette buts people drop in a day (which will eventually find their way into the lake)...Some people show so little respect for the beautiful environments we live in. Best wishes. PS... of course there's no chocolate on an authentic Italian cappuccino

It’s environmentally friendly confetti. You pick up the petals and dry them out to give back to the couple as a memory of their day. Most commercial confetti does not rot down.

Cappuccino. 1st use a thermometer for perfect temperature for milk..never scalding. No. Allow room for temp to rise. Skim milk always. Slowly draw steam wand up to the surface, don't Bob it up and down. Froth is made on the top surface. Tap to condense foam. Tamp espresso and run it. Cappuccino is 1/3 steam milk1/3 froth 1/3 espresso. Milk first, top with foam, espresso is last, poured over the foam, where the nose can enjoy the espresso.. That is a professional Cappuccino.
