Femke Bol is in form OMG. Beating the US mixed relay team at the Olympics is huge! Congrats Femke lightening Bol(t). 😂
@boringlifeofateen3 ай бұрын
The question is, can she challenge Sydney for that gold? Sydney has not run any relays or anything yet so she's fresh. Femka just ran 47.9 so will that cost her the gold in the 400m hurdles? We'll see... Femka obv did the right thing to run the mixed 4x4, but I have a feeling her running the relays will cost her the 400mh gold.
@QuamfyMarc3 ай бұрын
@@boringlifeofateenFemke have enough time to relax and train during thats series and semi final. She will be ready for final. Already won Gold so her spirit will be high. Sure Sydney is favorit but with that huge 47.9s split a good lane draw and little bit Rain as today will help her to surprise us again.

Can y’all comment or made a video about the post press conference with Miss Alfred. Sha’Carri nor Melissa showed up for the interview. This is not the classiest move at so many levels. It is something that should be talked about because it is sure not a good look - actually, it is very disrespectful.
@lg_ada26953 ай бұрын
I saw it and very classless, what ever positives I was starting to have for Richardson it went out the door. She great once winning but her true character shows in a loss. Crazy thing is she dragged Jefferson into it.
@greg12883 ай бұрын
Agreed!!
@MartineCloutier-LeBlanc-pl2pr3 ай бұрын
@@lg_ada2695 correct. Melissa was in tears and it would have been fun for the audience to hear about her mindset and emotions. After all, it was the first Olympic experience for all of them. What is to be noticed is when Sha'Carri is not in the lead, she has the "habit" to slow down before the finish line which was seen in the final (after watching the race multiple times. I did not catch it at first). And that tendency shows character. And when you add this no show nor wanting to speak with the media in the media zone after smiling with your American flag on your back (despite a clear disappointment after crossing the line when she is catching her breath or coming to the realization it did not happen like she wanted it to), the character part is more and more visible. In this case, it is decreasing and disappearing. There are lessons to be learned from every moment, hopefully someone can address these "habits" with her. Because this is not the first time at all.

The usa had to put Sydney Mclaughlin in the mixed relay to win. Probably she did not want it, but in Dutch television there was a list of best split times of all times. The first 6 were mostly in the 80's (so doped). Than Sydney Mclauglin in 2022 47.91 and than Bol 47.93 of yesterday. .

well do you know if maybe its in the rulebook that you cant come in private transportation? if that is a rule that everyone was made aware of then its their own fault to think they dont have to follow the rules cuz of their status in the sport. but if there were no rules about that or not made clear to the national teams then it tis certainly disrespectful.

Do not be like them Americans and make excuses for losing. SR lost, with grace I might add dont spit on that and certainly dont diminish the accomplishment of her getting there and representing your crazy country. Athletes have their peak moments and while confidence plays a part it doesnt ever mean you'll win just because. There were no mind games no failed confidence, Julien Álfred simply ran the race of her career and it won her Gold, lets celebrate all these ladies accomplishments and look forward to the newest rivalry.

I genuinely do not understand athletics media. This is the Olympic Games. The 100m Olympic final is one of the most significant events in world sports. Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce is a worldwide icon and one of the athletics GOATS. And she wasn't able to compete in the Olympics 100m semi-finals because of a pathetic rule change and unreasonable security. And the athletics media response to this is... NOTHING. You don't give a damn. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH ATHLETICS MEDIA???

@nataleepkt I think you might want to check the history and realize that Jamaica has dominated the women's 100m sprint event for a while, including sweeping it more times than any other nation on earth. Secondly, our 3 best 100m sprinters are all injured. Elaine, Shericka, and Shelly all had to pull out because of injury. Finally, we coached her and educated her. We didn't just provide a roof over her head. We actually took her into the best youth sprint training program on earth and developed her. Your ignorance is deafening.
