Until i watched this i forgot how overwhelming playing Sims is for the first time. I first played it in the early 2000s so i basically grew up playing it but definitely have empathy for people starting out with the advanced games like 3 and 4. It was super bare bones with regualr sims and even sims 2, so there's a steep learning curve with the newer versions

@@KelseyDrummer 3 is my favorite because it's more open world and you can have multiple Sims out of the house at once and have them all simultaneously be building friendships and skills and such. I liked in 3 how kids could "play tag" or "play catch" and you'd have this like massive tag game in the park where everyone is building their social meter but also building relationships easily. Same with play catch being easy to build athletic and social/fun. I also liked that it wasn't so easy for your sim to get pregnant in Sims 3. In sims 4 they just look at someone romantically and they're magically pregnant. I WILL say the outfits and hair options (though I wish there was a "create a style" for the outfits) are incredible cool and diverse. I have had a few multiracial families and love being able to have lots of ethnic hair options and outfit styles. I feel like with both 2 and 4 I have it on the hyper speed option because there's so much "downtime" . I also don't like how in 4 legit everything breaks all the time or catches fire. The "free will" is a lot stronger too where a sim will be holding a baby to bring to the highchair for food exploration and next moment they put the kid down and go for a swim forgetting they have a kid. At least in 3 they don't stop mid action and refuse, they refuse the action completely and go take a nap. 🤣

Aspiration to be a Chef but immediately plays all the Deviance Aspiration Goals lmao There are multiplayer mods so you could play with others. Some people play as toddlers together and try to survive with one caregiver. Would require a lot of planning though easy enough for an experienced Simmer. There are scenarios to play as well in the Main Menu. (also you have enough following EA would probably give you EVERY pack for free if you asked. idk if you plan to play again but it's a possibility.)
