Excellent!!. Now I see why this series attracted up to 17 million viewers and also I see the crass error I committed not watching it in the 80’s when aired.

Not seen that series in Years ... Used to watch it every week if my memory serves me right Saturday night BBC1 it was aired ... It's been that long i might be wrong
@brucedanton3669 Жыл бұрын
It was indeed shown then on BBC1 on a Saturday night at the time when it first aired. From 1980 to 1982 the main star was Stephanie Turner; when she left the series continued with Anna Carteret from 1983 to 1985; albeit as different roles of course. The series has been reshown since; I last saw it here on the Drama channel in 2018 at the time so then too. When first aired on BBC1 it would be on roughly around 7.10-8.00pm; although it varied so too. Thank you!

When the series ended in 1985. the following year, 1986, its replacement series as such was Casualty, which of course still runs then today!

It was Saturday nights. Does anyone remember a series about a vet that used to occupy a similar Saturday BBC slot? Not All Creatures… it was set in more modern times, as they were then, ie the 1980s.

The superintendent is deliberately trying to police by fear or favour, in the most disgusting way possible. Attempting to brown nose his superior, whilst instilling fear in those under his command. Clearly a very corrupt character...!

Good for Inspector Darbley! The real star of this series was aside from Inspector Darbley, Sergeant Joseph Becks. I always wanted to grow up as wise as he was. Alas, I did not, but I have endeavoured to judge a person by who they are and not by any other superficial criteria. Just as Sergeant Becks did.

What's the difference between this one and Heartbeat ? Is it basically just that this one doesn't have Claude Greengrass ? The problem at 10:07 is she went to Montreal instead of emigrating to Toronto like I did 1973 where we have the no-stop Night Life. Those French blokes in Montreal are all fast asleep by 9 pm The Divisional Superintendent is also DCI Reg Wexford's Superintendent.

Hard seeing a favorite actor of mine (James Grout) in such an abhorrent part. A demonstration of his enormous skill in the role. Do l see a long misery for staff? They’ll work around him l suspect. 😊

does 'Juliet Bravo' stand for anything?? why was it picked as the title?? there is no character by that name. All I could find was 'Foxtrot Juliet Bravo', which is radio alphabet for the letters FJB, which in turn is shorthand for those who don't like the current occupant of the White HOuse.
