Just because I'm a little weird, I got a Romeo Cleyera. I think I like the variegation a little more on it. But the new growth on the Juliet is definitely cooler. My guy got whacked by the December 2022 freeze. But it's come out running this year. I live in zone 8a with sandy soil.

I have 6 Bigfoot Cleyera in full sun and 5 in full shade. I've only lost one. They all perform the same for me. Just planted 2 Juliet Cleyera.

I have Bigfoot and love it. I've been searching for Juliet for a couple years and haven't even been able to find it online. Hopefully next year will be the year it goes in my garden! Great looking plant!

I bought one 2 years ago and it is still the same size it was when I put it out. It’s in full sun. I don’t know what to do. Fertilized with Plantone when planted and again in March. Wonder if I should just transplant to another sunny location? North Alabama 7b

Jim. I’m in the Charlotte area and I have 4 of these that I have planted on a slope facing west. It get full sun most of the day and they haven’t done very well …. Very thin. Any suggestions to help with this?

Yes beautiful plant, considerably low maintenance. I have two on a new property that are now in their second fall. One is doing beautifully the other has some type of spot and seems to be dying. I am in zone 7b N. Georgia. Planted in full sun. Any idea what is causing these spots and leaves dropping? Thanks Jim for all the great info!

Love the foliage on this plant - I have Japanese Beetles every year that I just live with until the second flush of new growth happens after they go away. Do you know if this plant being pest resistant includes the annual beetle problem?

I have not seen Japanese beetles on this plant. They prefer the roses! lol
