I had a Sandero a few years back. It was a Dynamique so had cruise control and everything. Was just awesome. The engine is really great. Always, ALWAYS, switch off the eco mode. The eco mode starves the engine of boost and has no noticeable effect on fuel consumption. It is amazing on the highway with the cruise on. It sits happily at 120kph while cars like the Polo Vivo, Etios, Figo, i10 etc slow down on up hills. It's an excellent car that I would recommend to anyone. I had it for 3 years. I still miss it.

Thanks Juliet, one of my friends has the 1st gen stepways and although it’s rough around the edge but with 300k km on it with no problems yet. I drove one of these 900t models in Cape Town it was fun enough. I like the turbo just fine as my daily drivers are all turbo diesels so you adjust for the lag. I would like to see a 1200t with about 80kw and 200nm. Perfect for this car.

Love the video, if you want a great vehicle, albeit slightly smaller, go look at the new swift glx, same spec as the sandero, except cruise control, my sister owned the new Gen sandero dynamique when it was launched and I can say it is a very very safe car

Know it is 2020 and there are lot's of options out there. would you make a new review of a renault/dacia Sandero Stepway 0.9 Tce 90 prestige to justify if things have improved and it's price (for a young family with single child) of a 276.000 rand(that is the price in Croatia(14.500 euro).

I agree about the taxi drivers. They are better drivers than most other countries everyday drivers. Well said

One og the best hatch backs I've ever driven. so spacious and practical. the ground clearance was perfect for parking on curbs in Gauteng and the gravel roads in Kzn. The consumption for me was around 6 lt/100km which was amazing although not better than my scenic 2 1.9dci. I used to travel from Durban to Polokwane on less than a single tank

It's produced in Romania in Dacia factories from old Renault parts. For outside of EU market all Dacia cars including Sandero, Logan, Duster etc. have Renault name. So they are basically 5-7 old Renault car with 0 km. The car basically feels cheap in inside with a lot of black cheap finish plastic and it's more like compact, definitely not SUV because it lacks a lot when it comes to driving and assistance. For the same price (it's 10-13 000 dollars in Europe) you can buy 2-3 years old Kia Sportage or Suzuki Vitara that are a few levels above.

@@tomislavsandor6303 The plastic in the Sandero feels a lot ALOT better than that in the Toyota Etios and Ford Figo. And unlike the i10, Etios and Figo, the Sandero doesn't smell like cheap plastic and glue inside when new. The Sandero is an excellent vehicle.

Great review as always. I always know I'll get a chuckle or more when watching your vids. Awesome features at that price point. Renault is not my cuppa but this is a good buy if one is looking that direction.
