In the US Lowe's has a paint additive i have used for years. There is a "sand"and "stone". I have had one bag for over 5 years with half a bag left. I also use it as "stucco" on the outside walls of a few doll houses.

🎉I think if you squirt a bit of super glue under the skirting board you could do your tape trick and it would stick quick and solve the problem!!😊

Can't you squeeze some white silicone caulking in a small syringe and pipe a thin line in the gap? Just like when doing home projects/repairs.
