+antiignorant that's my point though, you've tried it. so either you're a coach or a player,rule#1 never give away your secrets to success. make them mfers work for it! I know julio is the real deal,I've been watching him since high school but this just sounds to realistic on how he releases off the line and comes out of his routes,open hips etc. if u played sports u know what I mean. its the game within the game that sometimes gives certain players that edge over other another and it has to do with the psychological part of it,just as much as the physical part aswell. but then again when you're a bad mfer,they can know and still can't stop it. #imposeyourwill!

+e. williams a cover 6 might stop Julio but you are going to have trouble with white if you line him up on the opposite side of the formation and also opens up the longball
@DavidPhillipFootball8 жыл бұрын
+e. williams Cover 6 stops a lot of receivers. It's Cover 2 to the target and Cover 4 away. It's essentially bracket coverage while staying in zone concepts. CB underneath, S over the top, and LB playing Hook/Curl inside. Deion says "It's 2 Man", but it's not. 2 Man is two high safeties playing deep 1/2 with Man coverage underneath. Cover 6 is designed to play 3 on 1 or 2.5 to 1 to a dominant receiver.

I remember seeing this not long after it was posted. Julio never let his individual success get to him, nor did he stray away from the selfless mentality. No surprise he was so successful. Breaks my heart he didn’t get the ring he deserved though. That catch in the super bowl is overshadowed by the loss, but I’ve never seen a catch like that before or since. One of my all time favorites.

@brutuscassius164710 жыл бұрын
He was not. I don't care how many people repeat that line or how many times, it just ain't true. Deion was the most overrated cornerback ever; hands down. Even during his prime, if I had to pick one corner to cover the other teams' top receiver each week, I would've taken either Rod Woodson, Eric Allen, Terry McDaniel, Albert Lewis, or maybe even Troy Vincent or Gill Byrd, ahead of Deion Sanders. All of them were great 1 on 1 shutdown guys, except they weren't afraid to put their shoulders down & make a tackle too. Especially guys like Woodson & Allen; they sought out opportunities to make a hit.

@Slimkidd7308 жыл бұрын
That doesn't have anything to do with it. Tangibles only take you so far. Jerry Rice is the BEST WR in the history of the game and top 5 nfl player of all time. Rice route running was impeccable. To say that Deion could guard Rice but not Jones negates common sense logic and that can't happen. If guys like Revis, Sherman, Norman, etc can compete with Julio than so can Deion who is the BEST CB OF ALL TIME. Ran a 4.2, 40+ inch vert, and ran a 4.6 BACKWARDS. IF you're going to talk about Jones tangibles you can't leave out Deions tangibles as well.

joshua pollard Deion is a freak that comes around once every 20 or thirty years. If he had played BBall full time he would have gone down as one of the best lead off hitters, well below Rickey Henderson of course.

Deion wouldn’t have gone out like that! lol

deion sanders can hold any receiver, period (odell,Jerry,michael irvin all because of his speed)

You people is slow deion has one of the fastest time ever clocked in the columbine 40 yard dash. So to say it wasn't no one in his time that ran as fast as Calvin . I say who care cuz Calvin never ran a 4.1 I. The 40 so stop it with this speed talk deion, Darrel green, and Galloway are the fastest people to ever touch the NFL ..

Deion could stop any WR. Julio would get frustrated by halftime. Too quick too smart.

+dolphinbuc i disagree . Deion did plenty of holding his days. He not shutting down Prime Julio Jones or Randy Moss by himself.
@breakingcycles7418 жыл бұрын
+MrPrettyBoyChina....Deion shut down Jerry Rice and Michael Irvin. What makes you think Randy and Julio so special?
@courtneeclark-evans42848 жыл бұрын
+Breaking Cycles Randy Moss ran 4.18 in 40 yard dash and Julio Jones 4.38. Rice and Irvin was both no faster than 4.6 you see the difference

+dolphinbuc nobody can check Moss one on one

+Courtnee Clark-Evans jerry rice and irvin were route runners though. They were beast at running mid range routes weren't deep threats like randy moss. Irvin especially was a king at slant routes. When it comes to deep threat guys like moss you know where they're going so in a way it's easier to cover them.... in theory... in reality no one can cover moss cause he's so fast haha but Covering Rice and Irvin is pretty fucking hard to do because they were so good at running routes and they knew how to get to the spot they wanted to get and how to get away from the corner. If Deion could cover Irvin's slant route I'm 200 percent sure he could cover julio jones in a slant route despite all those fancy releases he did in this video. Irvin was the slant route king bottomline

Julio is still one of the best WRs in the game today. He’s just been playing with nagging injuries.

Deion Sanders is a living legend in sports and still relevant...kind of like OJ was in popularity and name recognition after football. He appears to be a good role model...has fun but nothing dumb. 4.2
