My nephew passed unexpectedly from covid in July 2020, he was only 34. I live in Australia and he lived in America with the family, so unfortunately I wasn’t there when he left. The best I could do was mourn from here and sent this video to the family. It’s going to be hard when I go back and he won’t be there. R.I.P. Donnie and miss you. 😞

People you see comment that Dave can't play, can't write, all he does is scream.....play this for them without telling them who it is. Put on the Skin and Bones DVD. Then tell them to stfu. He plays guitar, drums, and piano, sings leads and background....listen to the first Foo Fighters album....every note (except one) is Dave. He wrote, The Pretender....and Home Monkey Wrench...and Still White Limo....and February Stars He may be one of the most gifted rock singer/song writer/musicians ever.

After hearing him scream his guts out on "The Pretender" and "All My Life", I never would have pictured Dave doing something like this. Truly a very talented musician and a beautiful song. The first time I heard it, I thought "wow" then flipped when I read in the album notes, he did piano. You're awesome, Dave!!

The Foo's are by far my favorite band. I'm still young (22) but I know that when I die I want this song played at my funeral. Like vinnyfromnova said, "the beauty of music is everyones own interpretation of it." Right now a home may be the place I live and grow up but when I die it could be heaven or just a better place. Music is versatile. LOVE IT!!!

This song is a motherfucker! Cried shit tons when I first heard it. Reminds me of my sweet ex girlfriend Christine Blizard. The most perfect woman on earth. I miss her terribly but it saddened me so much to learn I couldn't be with her because I still don't have shit to offer to her. Unemployed and trying my hardest to get my shit together. Damn! She is great and the thought of her puts me off bed every day early. If another girl like her shows up in my life, I want to be ready. I want to go home with her. Or at least someone like her

Hey Dave, long time fan, I know you’ll not get back to me but I just want you to know…I’m from north jersey and was traveling down to Philadelphia to see my son in the Children’s Hospital…I got lost one night on my way back to my hotel room, I saw a Best Buy in the distance and figured I’d buy a gps for my car, I bought Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace while I was there as it just came out, now that album will always be a part of him as it got me through, he passed away but the song Home hits hard, thank you…I can’t listen to it without thinking of him

Oh my god, this song means so much to me. This has gotten me through lots of bad things in my life, it's such a beautiful and relaxing song. So much emotion in one song. I've always been a fan of Dave Grohl, and he's generally been louder in Foo Fighters songs. I realize that's what he's so popular for, and I love that side of him too, but this shows something we don't usually get to see in him. He is so talented in so many different ways, I hope he'll continue to create great music like this.
