Underrated player. He spent his prime years in the ABA.

not so much underrated as nearly forgotten after the Jordan tidal wave ...Dr.J was the most exciting player of his time and remains one of the greatest of greats ...it's nice to see him back in the news ...

Julius "Dr J" Erving is the epitome of class and dignity. The ultimate role model and ambassador. IMO he was the GOAT. So very privileged to have grew up in his era of dominance and influence.

Dr. J is a top 5 player of all time media and fans been disrespecting . Without Dr. J there's no Jordan, Drexler, TMAC, LeBron. The dude has 3 Rings, multiple MVPS, 30,000 + he should be in the GOAT conversation.

SportsLand Entertainment I say that all the time. he was Jordan before Jordan.

100% AGREE....I've argued for years about that especially about Jordan.....and the dunk from the free throw line.....Dr. J did it wit a afro and STILL did it.....Jordan had his foot over the line and was more aerodynamic cause no afro....lol LETS GO SIXERS

Dr. J stuck with it and like a true champion got that ring. Just by that alone he should rank alot higher than some of those ring chasers (Like Kevin Durant and others).

Dr. J. has always been PURE CLASS on and off the Basketball Court. I was so happy for him when he finally WON his Championship in 1983 after those difficult losses to the Lakers in 1980 & 1982. He finally got his missing piece in "Moses Malone" , like Kareem had Magic Johnson.

I wonder why he doesn’t get the recognition he deserves, he is the reason basketball became so marketable
@TheMeefive Жыл бұрын
Because he was the super star of the ABA. The NBA lived in his shadow. When he joined the NBA he became the star of that league too. It was embarrassing for the NBA and its players.
