Why do people seem shocked by Malema's behaviour in Parliament. There is nothing new here. This was highly expected. He might be a clown in Parliament but he surely spoke of the most crucial problems that affect South Africa as a nation. I do not support EFF, DA, nor ANC. We do not want bench warmers in the house, we want people who can shake the national assembly. It doesnt matter if you are black or white. Just deliver to the people what you promised them.

Maybe if u ddnt own any land or property you were gonna like some of those policies ! I know it sound unfair but afterall its justice ..those who possess stolen land must be taken away from them and they can undo their mistakes and buy it legally if they are still interested in it ! The mines should b regulated by the state bcos our fellow SAfricans are working so hard in mines and the economy is dropping decimally ..its like we working to better other countries ! Europeans and Americans just come to collect profits and make us do the filthy labour nah that's unfair ...its time for all people to work their success no one shall use others as their stepping stones to success !
@JacoLuus10 жыл бұрын
It sounds unfair because that is what it is, unjust. You are contidicting yourself with your own statement and this shows at least you understand wrong from right or measure yourself to the same moral standard than everyone else. If Malema claims land has been stolen then it doesn't make it fact, remember he also claimed he did not steal from the state which was proven otherwise and he agreed to pay them back. There was economical growth before Mr Zuma took over and because foreign investment is loosing confidence that is why growth has slowed down and because of the long strike in the platinum sector the little growth there is hulted. Look at present government owned businesses, spoor net, eskom, sabc, SAA they all have one thing in common poor financial performance, telkom is doing fine only because the majority share is privately owned. Eskom is surviving because it has a monopoly. No you are correct in saying people that own nothing will agree with him because they will get something for nothing to the cost of those who worked for what they have. If anything was stolen proof it with deeds showing ownership.

mr malema, if there is one thing that you can leave a lasting legacy of would be to provide education to the young in rural areas. And you can do so by making it compulsory that new teachers graduating from university must do a 1 year community service in rural areas similar to the way doctors do internship. In this way we can redistribute the top minds into inaccesable areas of our country to the benefit of our rainbow nation!
@hannocoetzer876310 жыл бұрын
About Malema's land reform polices - I agree that those policies seem very lucrative when you don't own any land, but the bigger question is, is it a sustainable solution for our country. A good paper by W. Anseeuw & N. Mathebula "Evaluating land reform's contribution.." states that more than 70% of all land reform settlements is experiencing difficulties/unsuccessful - with an average of 89.5% gross income decrease, leading to 70% of workers losing their jobs due to the new beneficiaries owning the land. Production is decreasing which is leading to increased demand which leads to cost increases for our food supply. The poor will be suffering the most - all for the sake of political figures pushing policy to gain votes!
@nkululekongwenya593610 жыл бұрын
Very good points I do admit, however the land was stolen from its rightful owners decades ago still so I still see fit a sort of righting this wrong. Perhaps if we do not get the land back, those who do own it now wrongfully should pay reparations to the underprivileged (maybe in the form of tax). Funds that will be pumped straight into infrastructure, academia or health care of the poor (preferably that will not go through government)... the truth is land reform distribution will more probably destroy all of us than build. But I refuse to accept that things should be as they are, something has got to give, especially that which was taken
@SimonMAABE10 жыл бұрын
OK, I'm not replying to the land being stolen or being unused effectively. I'm asking, does it make sense that 80% of the land is owned by 9% of the population? Surely it doesn't. Then, it means both black and white must equally share the land and both equally decrease or increase production usage of the land. Why does it have to be white farmers? We want farmers, NOT black farmers, white farmers, that's crap. I want farmers.
@thebergbok827910 жыл бұрын
Simon MAABE this reasononing sounds kind of contradictory. Why white farmers,not black farmers just farmers So what is the arguement? . Face it the whites /Europeans had centuries of farming experience behind them as opposed to little plots next to a hut on communal ground which was /is the custom amongst black people so obviously as the country evolved into a modern state they were the ones who tapped into the growing market. This includes producing food for the local market and for export to overseas countries where they had all the contacts (clients).That is just the way history & trade works Romanticizing the emotional subject of "proportional" land ownership & making it the national policy is just not going to put food on the table of this now cash strapped country. It is a recipe for DISASTER. The communist inspired social engineering of compelling the farmers to hand over 50% of their land to the workers is another moot point ! Do any of those who thought this brilliant scheme up have any idea of economics. I,am just an ordinary guy But I see losers all the way. Food or land squatting. What's it to be?
@SimonMAABE10 жыл бұрын
@ TheBergbok, you missing the point because you have emotionally attached your skin pigmentation to the discussion. The first issue I want to raise is that, we are stuck in defining progress of South Africa along racial lines, yet our children are going into the same classes today and if it doesn't sadden you, it does hurt me. The second issue, of which is the core of this discussion, is that, the reason the so called White farmers claim the experience they have is simply because ALL the previous governments supported only whites in farming (we have accepted and want to correct it moving forward). Now, what Commander in Chief of the EFF is advocating is not hate, but rather a redress of the ills of the past. Maybe you can look at it this way, if all South Africans who are willing to farm the fertile land be given equal opportunities through state intervention, then we'll all benefit from this. NB: For as long as whites hold on to the land, the government will never assist them to grow the industry, because the government serves the majority, not minority who act against it's policies. It's sad that if land were to be returned to all (not to blacks), the government would come in and pour investment to make agriculture work for all.
@RickOShay10 жыл бұрын
Simon MAABE "if all South Africans who are willing to farm the fertile land be given equal opportunities through state intervention, then we'll all benefit from this." Such a naive statement! Learn from Zimbabwe! History indicates that economy collapsed after land grabs.

My friends, this may seem racist to many but, as a afrikaans speaking South Africa (not an "Afrikaaner". We are all afrikaaners. We live in South AFRICA for goodness sake) I do not agree with Honourable Malema about the statue of Louis Botha. This country was formed and built by the afrikaans speaking South Africans. We fought the British and "terrorist" to be able to still live and breath in this country. ( sorry if that causes offense but that was not entirely true of the apartheid government). If not for the first Boers that broke away from the English colony there wouldn't be any mines to nationalize. The afrikaans speaking South Africans celebrate those victories because they enable us to live in South Africa. P.S the universe is a damn vacuum. A vacuum is defined as a space where there us no air and objects have no weight. You have mass(60kg). Weight is your mass multiplied by the earths gravitational pull. Nature exist because of a vacuum. It allows for vacuums. The worst part is that a grade eleven student knows this!!! P.P.S what does Malema think about my best friend( who is black) that can only speak afrikaans?
