Julius has to buy into a manu ginobili 6th man role for the Knicks to hit their ceiling. The pieces of the starting 5 synergize much better with Donte staying and mikal taking Randles spot. Would also make it a lot easier to stagger Randle’s minutes with Brunson, which they’ll need to do. I’d still probably close most games with Julius as a small ball 5

Knicks can save the headaches and greatly reduce the chance of playoff underachievement if they get rid of Randle for just bench players they need like a backup center/power forward. I want the Knicks to have success but, they will not win anything if they have Randle on the team unless he sits out the season.
